Good time to stock up on cosmetics with the Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards coupon

This week all CVS shoppers will receive a Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards coupon from the ExtraCare Coupon Center. How great is that? What makes it even greater is that there are several extrabucks rewards deal that can stretch the coupon even further.

The one deal I intend to take advantage of is the Buy $10, Get $3 extrabucks rewards deal on L'Oreal. The reason why I chose this deal is that it can be repeated twice, so if I spend $20, I can use the $5 extrabucks rewards coupon and get $6 in extrabucks rewards, which makes it like $9 after extrabucks rewards. You can save even more by using the $1 off of any L'Oreal product coupon on the L'Oreal Paris USA site, and Save.com has a $1 off coupon good for any L'Oreal eye product.

If you buy $15 worth of Covergirl cosmetics, you also can use the coupon toward the Buy $20, Get $5 extrabucks rewards deal on a variety of Procter and Gamble products, Mars candy, and Dove chocolate. Covergirl cosmetics are on sale at Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off. The insert in today's (9/29/13) newspaper has a $1.50 coupon on any Covergirl cosmetic, a $2 coupon on Clump Crusher or Blast mascara, and a $4/2 Outlast lip color or Double LipShine products. Coupons.com has several Covergirl coupons as well. They include a $1 coupon on Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm, and $2 coupons on Blast mascara, Covergirl Clean Whipped Crème Foundation, and Covergirl CC Cream Tone Rehab or CC Eye Cream Rehab product. The P&GEveryday website also has the coupons available on Coupons.com plus a $1.50/2 coupon Covergirl nail products and a $2 coupon on Covergirl Clean Whipped Crème Foundation.

In addition to Covergirl products the following items are eligible for the deal:

9 oz. Dawn: 99 cents
120 ct. Bounce, Downy Liquid 52-60 loads, or 13.2 oz. Unstopables: $5.99
12.6 oz. Pantene shampoo or conditioner or 5.7-11.5 oz. styler: 2/$7
Charmin Ultra Strong or Ultra Soft 16 pk.: $9.99
12 pk. Bounty: $9.99
48-96 ct. Puffs: 99 cents
Tide liquid detergent 19-32 loads: $5.94

Mars chocolate singles 1.08-1.92 oz.: 50 cents
Dove Promises 8-9.5 oz., Mars minis, or M&Ms 9.9-12.6 oz.: 2/$6
All Pampers jumbo pk.: $8.99
All Gillette shave get or cartridges (Includes Venus)

Today's P&G Everyday coupon insert (9/29) has the following applicable coupons:

Charmin: 25 cents
Bounty: 25 cents
Dawn: 25 cents
Dawn: 50 cents on Hand Renewal, Power Clean, Bleach Alternative or Oxi
Pampers: $2/2 bags
Pantene: $3/2 products
Tide: $2 off one detergent
Bounce: 50 cents
Tide/Downy: $5 on 3 Tide detergents, Downy, (or Tide Boost)

Coupons.com also has a $2/2 coupon for Pantene products.

There even are coupons good on the featured candy in these deals. Save.com has a Buy 2. Get 1 Free coupon good for M&Ms and a $1.50/3 on Mars Chocolate Halloween bags.

If you can't decide between cosmetics, household products, or candy, the deal is repeatable twice, so you can get it all. And if you get $20 worth of items, you can use the $5 extrabucks rewards toward the next $20 worth of items.

Another extrabucks rewards cosmetics deal that would lend itself to the Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards coupon on cosmetics is the Buy $12, Get $4 extrabucks rewards deal on all Revlon cosmetics since that deal can be repeated up to six times. By using the coupon for $24 worth of Revlon cosmetics, you would receive $8 in extrabucks rewards, which would be like getting the cosmetics for $11 after extrabucks rewards. Additionally, Coupons.com has a $2 coupon for Revlon ColorStay cosmetics.

There also is a Buy $10, Get $6 extrabucks rewards deal on Physicians Formula cosmetics. While the deal is repeatable only once, if you bought $15 worth of the cosmetics to use the coupon, it would be like getting $15 worth of Physicians Formula cosmetics for only $4.

That's all for this evening. Have a great week!

Sweep (or wipe) up savings with CVS deals

In a previous blog I mentioned that I would let you know about some SavingStar deals when there was a corresponding sale at CVS. One of those SavingStar deals is Buy $20, Get $5 on SC Johnson home cleaning products.

Included are:

Scrubbing Bubbles
Fantastik
Pledge
Shout
Drano
Windex

Scrubbing Bubbles, Windex, Fantastik, and Pledge products also are included in a Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards deal this week at CVS.

Eligible products are:

Fantastik (26-32 oz.)
Pledge (9.7 oz.)
Windex (10-26 oz.)
Scrubbing Bubbles (16-20 oz. or 6 ct. gel discs)

Although Glade products don't count toward the SavingStar $5 deal, any Glade product (excluding clearance items) is eligible for the CVS $5 extrabucks rewards deal.

Coupons.com has the following coupons that could be used on the CVS deal:

75 cents off of any Windex Touch-Up cleaner product
$1.50 off of any 2 Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning Gel products
$1 off any Glade scented oil candle holder or two refills

While it looks like no one else can get in on the Buy $20, Get $5 Henkel products deal on SavingStar any longer, there also are some good deals at CVS that count toward the deal if you were able to get in on it. The ExtraCare Coupon Center has a $1.50/3 Renuzit Adjustables coupon. They are on sale for 3/$3, so the coupon makes the final price 3/$1.50! There also is a Buy 1, Get $2 extrabucks rewards or Buy 2, Get $5 extrabucks rewards deal on got2b styling products. With this type of deal, CVS shoppers can buy just one product, get the $2 extrabucks reward, use it on the purchase of another got2be product, and get the remaining $3.

Well, CVS made a liar out of me in a good way today. When I look at the online preview of what will be on sale next week, the sizes for the featured items were included. So I can still let you know about good deals coming up in the future! Have a nice evening!

The promised oral care post

Sorry I haven't gotten back with oral care deals since they tend to get lots of reads. More about that later, but let's get to the deals!

Colgate and Listerine users will be happy this week because there are Buy $10, Get $5 extrabucks rewards deal on each of those brands. Not only are purchases of 250-500 ml bottles of Colgate Total rinse good for the Colgate deal, but 4-7.8 tubes of Colgate Total toothpaste also count toward the deal as well. Any Listerine, Reach, or Rembrandt items are good for the Listerine deal.

Coupons.com has a $2 coupon good for any adult Listerine mouthwash 1 liter or larger and another $1 coupon good for any 16.9 oz. or larger Listerine Whitening product. The site also has a $2 coupon for any Rembrandt whitening mouthwash or toothpaste as well as a $5 coupon for any Rembrandt whitening kit or strips. There also is a $1.10 coupon for Colgate Total rinse 8 oz. or larger. There also are $1 coupons on the 2 Listerine products available on healthyessentials.com. That site also has a $1/2 coupon for Reach dental floss.

There also is a $5 extrabucks rewards deal on Oral B Vitality Floss, 3D White Action rechargeable toothbrushes, Pro-Health power toothbrushes, or 3 pk. power refills.

If you are looking for a manual toothbrush, there's a $2 extrabucks rewards deal on Colgate 360 or Optic White toothbrushes. At 2.99, the toothbrush would be 99 cents after extrabucks rewards. it would be even lower at 49 cents if you have the 50 cent coupon from Sunday's paper.

CVS has a Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off deal on Polident 78-84 ct., Poligrip 1.6-2.4 oz., 40 count strips, Sensodyne3.4-4.3 oz., twin pack (8 oz. total), or 8.4 oz. Pronamel rinse. Rounding out the deals on oral care this week is a 2/$6.98 special in Crest w/Scope 4.1-8 oz., 3D White or ProHealth 5.8-6 oz. toothpaste, 250-500ml ProHealth rinse, 8-16 oz. Clinical rinse, or Glide Floss. There are $1 coupons on the Policare website for any size Polident and Super Poligrip. The Sensodyne site has a 75 cent coupon for any size of toothpaste, and the Pronamel site has a $1 coupon for the rinse.

I would have let you know about these deals sooner, but the CVS weekly ad is in a different format now. Instead of being a replica of the print ad, the weekly ad is specialized for each CVS shopper. Additionally, there aren't sizes given for the products eligible for the extrabucks rewards deals. Without that information, it's hard to match coupons to the deals since many coupons have a size restrictions on them. So I'm afraid to give out any info about upcoming deals without knowing that information.

What I probably will end up doing is letting you know about deals in advance that probably don't have a possible size requirement attached to them.

Hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far.

Cereal, breakfast bars, coffee, juice, and savings

Cheerios has been a favorite cereal of mine since I was a child. While I like many of the flavored varieties that have come out since I was an adult, I always have a soft spot for the original Cheerios in the yellow box.

No matter what variety of Cheerios you like, CVS has 11.25-14 oz. boxes on sale this week for 2/$4 as well as 5-count boxes of Fiber One bars. If you belong to SavingStar, you can get 50 cents back on the original Cheerios as well as 50 cents back on one box of Fiber One protein bars.

Additionally, Coupons.com has a 50 cents off coupon on Honey Nut Cheerios as well as a $1/3 boxes of any General Mills Cereal.

Rounding out the cereal and breakfast bar deals are Quaker instant oatmeal and Quaker Chewy granola bars at 2/$5 and Gold Emblem breakfast bars, also at 2/$5.

Also on sale this week at CVS are Special K cereal, bars, and pastry crisps at 2/$5 with $1 in extrabucks rewards. There is a $1/3 coupon on Kelloggs.com for the cereal. If you are a member of Kellogg's Family Rewards, you also can get double points on Special K® Bars, Beverages, Breakfast Shakes, Chips, Crackers, Frozen Breakfasts, Hot Cereal, Sweet Snacks, Waffles and Red Berries Cereal through 9/30/2013. Special K chips also are on sale at CVS this week for 2/$5.

To go along with the cereal and breakfast bars, you can wash them down with milk, juice, or coffee as there are several sales on these items this week.

If you're buying cereal, you need milk to pour over it, and CVS has a $1 extrabucks rewards deal on Dean's Milk, which is priced at $2.99 this week. There also is a $1 extrabucks rewards deal on Ocean Spray juice this week, which is on sale for 2/$6. 64 oz. bottles of CVS' Gold Emblem juice also are on sale for $2.79 as well as Tropicana Orange Juice for $2.99. Kellogg's Breakfast Shakes also are on sale at CVS for $4.99. Kelloggs.com has a 2/$2 coupon for the shakes.

CVS also has some deals on coffee for those CVS shoppers who need a cup of coffee to start their days. Maxwell House in 30.6 and 34.5 oz. sizes are on sale for $6.99. Also on sale are several varieties of Gold Emblem coffee as well as Gold Emblem sweetener for $4.99. If you prefer sweetening your coffee and cereal with sugar, canister of Domino granulated sugar are on sale for 2/$6.

After eating breakfast, it would be time to brush one's teeth, and CVS once again has several oral care deals that will be the subject on the next edition of CVS Tips.

If you're getting $3 off $10 shave, deodorant, or oral care ExtraCare Coupon Center coupons...

...there are lots of ways to use it PLUS there also are online coupons with which it can be combined.

Listerine 1.5 liter, whitening rinse 32 oz., and Total Care or Ultraclean 1 liter are on sale along with 2.6-3 oz. Rembrandt toothpaste are on sale for $5.99 each. Buying two of them at a $11.98 total would allow you to use the $3 coupon, which would take you down to $8.98 for two items. But you can get an even lower price with $2 coupons on Coupons.com and on the CVS website on 1 liter or larger adult care Listerine products and on Rembrandt toothpaste. With $4 total in coupons, that would take you to $4.98 two of the featured products.

If you happen to prefer Colgate toothpaste over Rembrandt toothpaste, there is a $2 extrabucks rewards deal that can be repeated twice on Colgate Max 6.0 oz., Colgate Total 4-4.2 oz., or 2-in-1 4.6 oz. All are on sale for $2.99 each. Two tubes of toothpaste would be $5.98. With the $2 coupon for the Listerine and the $4 extrabucks rewards on two tubes of toothpaste AND the $3 coupon, it would be like getting $11.97 in oral care products for only $2.97!

An extrabucks rewards deal where the $3 coupon may be able to be used is the $2 extrabucks rewards deal on multipacks of  Crest, Fixodent, Glide, or Oral-B. The deal can be repeated twice, so if you do the deal two times you can get $4 in extrabucks rewards. Additionally, there are 50 cent coupons on Coupons.com and P&G Everyday for various varieties of Crest.

There are some Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off deals on oral care products where the $3 coupon could be used provided CVS customer buy enough of the featured products to get to $10. One of those deals is on Sensodyne twin packs or Pronamel rinse, and the other is on 78-120 ct. Polident tablets or 1.6-2.4 oz. Poligrip or 40 ct. Poligrip strips. There is a 75 cent coupon for Sensodyne on the Sensodyne website and a $1 coupon on the Pronamel site for the rinse. There are $1 coupons for Polident and Poligrip on the Policare website., and there is a $1 coupon for Polident on Save.com.

If you want to take advantage of the $10 extrabucks rewards deal on any Crest 3D Whitestrips, the $3 coupon would make it easier to do so.

As far as shaving items go, the $3 coupon would be helpful to use toward the Buy $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards on any Gillette shaving items and could be helpful if CVS shoppers buy enough Bic disposable shavers, which are buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off this week. There also is a $2 coupon on Coupons.com for the Bic Soleil Shave and Trim shaver.

There also isn't much as far as deals are concerned on deodorant this week, which is another item on which the $3 coupon can be used. If you bought three Axe deodorant/antiperspirants, which are on sale for 2/$9, you could use the $3 coupon and get 3/$10.50. Also, Mitchum/Lady Mitchum is on sale for $1.99, which makes it ideal to combine with a shaving or oral care purchase to get to $10.

Even though Dry Idea isn't on sale, there is a $3/2 coupon on Coupons.com and the CVS website as well. A Dry Idea purchase also would count toward the Buy $20, get $5 SavingStar deal on products from Henkel. At my CVS, Dry Idea sells for $4.29 or 2/$9. While the 2/$9 price isn't enough to use the $3 coupon toward, it could be combined with the $2 extrabucks rewards deal on Colgate. Since Colgate is on sale for $2.99, the total would be $11.99 for 2 Dry Idea deodorant/antiperspirants and one tube of Colgate. With the $3 coupon from the ExtraCare Coupon Center, the $3 coupon for two Dry Ideas, and the $2 extrabucks rewards on the toothpaste, it would be like purchasing all three for $3.99.

For CVS shoppers who buy CVS brands, there also is a Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off deal that includes CVS personal care products, so if you're stocking up on those, you could use the $3 coupon to get a better deal on a purchase of $10 or more of those items.

Be back Thursday to tell you about some more of this week's deal as well as letting you know what's on the horizon for next week.

P.S. When I first told you about the $3 off coupon for shaving, deodorant, and oral care items, I mistakenly told you that it could have been used last week toward the purchase of two Edge, Skintimate, or Schick shaving gels. I thought the price of one can was $5.79, but the actual price at my CVS was $3.79. Sorry for the confusion.

Exciting SavingStar deals for September!

While Henkel may not be a familiar brand name, I'm sure most of us are very familiar with brands that are part of the Henkel brand family, such as Dial, Purex and Combat.

And ... in case your storage closets are out of products in the Henkel brand family, now is a good time to get stocked up on those brands since there is a Buy $20, Get $5 SavingStar deal on Henkel products that runs until Oct. 30.

And ... SavingStar members can get extra money on Henkel brands in addition to the $5 on the following products:

$1 back on Purex Liquid or UltraPacks until 9/25
$1 back on Dial body wash until 10/5
$1 back on Tone body wash until 9/11
$1 back on Dry Idea until 9/6

And ... there will be Henkel items on sale at CVS next week. They are:

Purex liquid 24-33 loads or UltraPacks 18 ct.: Buy 1, Get 2 Free
Dial body wash 16 oz. or bar soap 8 pk.: $3.99
Got2b hair stylers (excluding freeze spray and trial sizes): 2/$8
SoftScrub 24-25.4 oz. or Renuzit Neutralizer spray 13-16 oz. or pearls 5.64 oz.: 2/$5
Renuzit Adjustables: 99 cents

According to Sunday Coupon Preview, the RedPlum insert in Sunday newspapers will have a $1/2 coupon for Dial or Tone body wash, foaming hand soap, or 3+ bar packs and a Buy 3, Get 1 Free coupon on the Renuzit Adjustables.

But that's not all!

There will be a coupon available at the ExtraCare Coupon Center for $1.50 off on two cans of Progresso soup, which will be on sale for 2/$3. There will be a 50 cents/2 coupon for Progresso and a 25 cents/1 coupon for Progresso Light in one of the two SmartSource inserts in Sunday newspapers. Coupons.com also has a 50 cents/2 coupon for Progresso. If you go ahead and buy four cans of Progresso, you also can get $1 from SavingStar.

There are some other great SavingStar deals available, but I'll wait until there are corresponding deals at CVS to write about those. But I would suggest that if you are a SavingStar member or would like to become one to click on the SavingStar link above and check out and sign up for those deals. They can disappear really fast.

Coupons.com coupons make CVS weekly deals even better!

When I looked through this week's CVS weekly ad, I said "Nice!" as I viewed several of the items on sale. But there are some Coupons.com coupons that elevate those deal to beyond "nice".

There are several food coupons that make CVS deals this week even sweeter and more savory. One of those coupons is a $1.50/3 coupon for Hormel Compleats. On sale for 2/$4 this week, using the coupon would bring the price of three down to $4.50, which is close to a Buy 2, Get 1 free deal. Sticking with food, CVS also has 3.07-3.3 oz. Dove large chocolate bars on sale for 2/$2.98. With the $1/2 coupon available on Coupons.com, that price becomes 2/$1.98, which is less expensive than a regular-sized Dove chocolate bar at CVS!

The best CVS/Coupons.com deal I found for personal care is a Buy 1, Get 1 Free coupon for Edge
shaving gel. Additionally, CVS has a $2 extrabucks rewards deal on Edge, Skintimate, or Schick shaving gel. If this deal isn't good enough already, I got a $3 ExtraCare Coupon Center coupon for $3 off a $10 purchase of any shaving, deodorant, or oral care products. Since the shaving gel was priced at $5.79 at my CVS, buying two would put CVS customers over the $10 minimum purchase requirement!

Speaking of ExtraCare Coupon Center coupons, all ExtraCare members will receive a $1 coupon for any Procter & Gamble featured on Page 4 of the CVS weekly ad. One of the featured deals is a Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent deal on Crest Pro-Health and Glide Floss products. Coupons.com has a a $1 coupon for Crest Pro-Health rinse 1L or larger and a 50 cent coupon for Crest Pro-Health toothpaste 4.0 oz. or larger. There also is a $1 extrabucks rewards deal on 12.6 oz. Pantene shampoo or conditioner or 5.7 to 11.5 oz. styler, which are 2/$7 this week. Paired with the $2/2 coupon available on Coupons.com, the $1 coupon from the ExtraCare Coupon Center, and the $1 extrabucks rewards, two Pantene products would be 2/$3. The CVS weekly ad said that there was a $3/2 coupon in the P&G brandSAVER insert in Sunday's paper. If that coupon were used instead of the one from Coupons.com, the net price would go down even further to 2/$2!

Will be back next time with some SavingStar deals that can be profitable later in the month!
