Stock up on CVS personal care and beauty products, get up to $10 extrabucks rewards

Whenever I experiment with new nail polishes, I either don't like them or get them all over my hands. But starting over is always easy because I always have some CVS nail polish remover and CVS cotton squares on hand.

So I was happy to see the Buy $10, Get $4 extrabucks rewards or Buy $20, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal on CVS Brand Cosmetics, Facial Care, Personal Cleansing, Deodorant, Hair Care, Hand/Body Lotions, Shaving Items or Oral Care products. With both beauty and personal care items eligible for this deal, it's easy to get to $20 to get the $10 in extra bucks rewards.

For instance, in addition to CVS nail polish and CVS cotton squares, I need some shavers, which are also eligible for the deal. I've also been know to buy CVS oral care products, and CVS mouthwash, toothbrushes, and dental floss also are eligible products. I also use CVS liquid hand soap and body wash, and I can pick some of those up this week and get extrabucks back.

If you got a 20 percent off coupon in the mail, you can wait until Saturday and get an additional 20 percent off those items since they aren't sale priced, which mean you can spend only $8 out of pocket to get the Buy $10, Get $4 extrabucks deal or spend on $16 out of pocket to get the Buy $20, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal. If you didn't get that coupon, also could buy $10 worth of items in one purchase and make a second purchase and use the $4 extrabucks rewards to help pay for the other $10 needed to get the other $6 in extrabucks rewards.

Also, if you got the $6 off of a $30 beauty purchase coupon in the email earlier this week and bought strictly beauty items for the CVS brand deal, you could use the $6 coupon in conjunction with the CVS deal and another beauty extrabucks rewards deal and get even more extrabucks. Other extrabucks rewards that you could combine with the CVS deal are:

Buy $12, Get $4 extrabucks rewards on Almay Intense i-Color Shadow, Liner, Mascara. $5.99
Buy $12, Get $4 extrabucks rewards on Almay cosmetics excluding Almay Intense.
Buy $10, Get $3 extrabucks rewards on Head & Shoulders, Aussie, Pantene, Herbal Essences Shampoo or Conditioner 22.8-29.2 oz.
Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards on Simple Facial Care.
Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards on select Soft Sheen Carson Hair Care Products. May be repeated 4 times.
Buy $10, Get $5 extrabucks rewards on select Fantasia, Hollywood Beauty, Creme of Nature, Blue Magic, Doo Gro or Roux Hair Care.

With the exception of the Almay Intense I-Color products, all the other deals also would be eligible for the extra 20 percent off coupon since they are not on sale.

Now if you want your beauty products and drink you Coke, too, you could buy $10 worth of beauty items for the Buy $20, Get $5 extrabucks rewards deal on Coke, Dr. Pepper, and Procter & Gamble products extrabucks rewards deal. Beauty items associated with this deal are Covergirl Face, Lip, Outlast Nail or Eye (excluding Bombshell Mascara) at Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off and Pantene Shampoo, Conditioner 12.6 oz. or Styler 5.7-11.5 oz. at 2/$7. Since those items are on sale, they wouldn't be eligible for the 20 percent coupon good this weekend.

However, there are some coupons on Coupons.com for Pantene and Covergirl items. Those include:

75 cents/1 Pantene shampoo or conditioner
$2/2 Pantene shampoo or conditioner
$1/1 Covergirl mascara
$1/1 Pantene styler or treatment product

The Pantene coupons are also available on P&G everyday. In addition to the Covergirl mascara coupon, the site has the following coupons:

75 cents/1 Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss
$1/1 Covergirl Clean Whipped Crème Foundation
75 cents/1 Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pot or Flamed Out Shadow Mascara

Coupons.com also has a $2/1 Simple moisturizer or cleanser (excluding trial sizes and wipes) coupon good for the Simple extrabucks rewards deal.

On a general beauty note, CVS Beauty Club rewards start fresh on Jan. 1, 2014, so if you're close to getting a $5 reward on $50 worth of beauty purchases, one or more of these beauty deals can help you get your $5 reward before the end of the year. On a general CVS note, Dec. 15 is the deadline for purchases to qualify for double quarterly extrabucks rewards.

Well, tomorrow brings a sneak peek at next week's upcoming deals. I'll see what I can find and see what coupons I can get to help out with those deals. Have a great evening.

SavingStar and CVS help keep more money in your pocket during the holidays

With yesterday marking the beginning of December, SavingStar put up some more deals to help you save even more money at CVS, and there's one CVS/SavingStar deal that's especially worth looking into.

For awhile, SavingStar has had a Spend $15, Get $5 back on what they call a "Seasonal Care Package: Prepare for Cold & Flu Season" deal. This week, CVS has an incredible extrabucks rewards deal on one of the items that qualifies for the deal on SavingStar. Priced at only $4.99, CVS shoppers can get $4 extrabucks rewards on Children's Triaminic Night Time or Day Time Liquid 4 oz. If you sign up to get Triaminic deals, you can get a $1 coupon, which gives you 1 cent back after extrabucks rewards and puts you almost one-third of the say towards meeting the $15 SavingStar purchase requirement for the deal. Other products that count toward the deal are Dial Complete Foaming Hand Wash, Dial Hand Sanitizer, Scotties Facial Tissue, and Soft Scrub Cleansers.

SavingStar also put up some more cereal coupons, and CVS has some deals this week to correspond with those. Trix, Cocoa Puffs, Cinnamon or Peanut Butter Toast Crunch, or Cheerios 10.7-14 oz. are on sale for $2.22 this week, and Saving Star has a 50 cent off deal on Honey Nut or Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch, which are part of the deal.  Fiber One 11.75-16.2 oz., Total 10.6 oz. or Rice Chex 12.8 oz. are on sale for $2.99, and SavingStar has a $1 off 2 deal on two Chex cereals.

To save even more money on the cereal deals, there is a 60 cent coupon for Honey Nut Cheerios or Honey Nut Cheerios Medley Crunch and a $1.10/2 coupon for any two boxes of Chex cereal.

If you plan to use the Chex cereals to make homemade Chex Mix, there is a Buy $10, Get $3 extrabucks rewards deal on select Planters nuts as well as Kraft and Velveeta Macaroni and Cheese. Kraft Macaroni & Cheese 5.5-7.25 oz., Easy Mac or Velveeta Cup 2.05-2.39 oz. are on sale for 99 cents.  Planters Deluxe Mixed Nuts 8.75 oz., Whole Cashews 8.5 oz. or Nut•rition 9.25-9.75 oz. are 2/$9, and Planters Peanuts 16 oz. are on sale for 2/$6.

That's all for now. Next time, I'll be talking about one of my favorite extrabucks rewards beauty promotions.

Free after extrabucks items are back!

Last year before Thanksgiving, I saved a lot of money and got a lot of extrabucks rewards by taking advantage of all the free after extrabucks rewards deals CVS had before Thanksgiving.

Well, they're back again!

One of the deals I picked up last year is a box of Kraft Macaroni 'n Cheese for 99 cents with the total purchase price back in extrabucks rewards. That deal is back again from Nov. 24-26 along the other free after extrabucks rewards deals:

Glade PlugIns Scented Oil Warmer 1 ct. $1.25-$1.25 extrabucks rewards.
Sparkle Single Big Roll Paper Towels. $1-$1 extrabucks rewards.
Total Home Laundry Detergent 20 oz. $1.79-$1.79 extrabucks rewards.
Hershey’s Singles Candy Bar 1.4-2.06 oz. 79 cents-79 cents extrabucks rewards.
Orbit Gum 14 ct. $1-$1 extrabucks rewards.
5 Gum 15 ct. $1-$1 extrabucks rewards.
Hershey’s Theater Box Candy 4-6 oz. $1-$1 extrabucks rewards.
Rescue Pastilles Stress Relief 1.7 oz. $7.79-$7.79 extrabucks rewards.
Children's Advil Suspension 1 oz. $2.37-$2.37 extrabucks rewards.
Mycratine Homeopathic Migraine Relief 2 oz. $4.99-$4.99 extrabucks rewards.
Advil Film-Coated 4 ct. 99 cents-99 cents extrabucks rewards.
Somnapure 4 ct. $1.99-$1.99 extrabucks rewards.
Starbucks Refreshers 12 oz. or DoubleShot 6.5 oz. 2/$3-$3 extrabucks rewards with the purchase of two.
CVS Probiotic with 3 Billion Strains 15 ct. $9.99-$9.99 extrabucks rewards.
CVS Anti-Diarrheal 12 ct. $4-$4 extrabucks rewards.
CVS Pantiliners 20 ct. 99 cents-99 cents extrabucks rewards.
CVS Training Pants Trial Size 2 ct. or CVS Ultra-Soft Cleansing Wipes 12 ct. 99 cents-99 cents extrabucks rewards.
Ricola Extra Strength Cough Drops 4 ct. 99 cents-99 cents extrabucks rewards.
G•U•M Toothbrush 2 pk. $2-$2 extrabucks rewards (may be repeated twice).
CVS True Result Blood Glucose Monitoring System. $12.99-$12.99 extrabucks rewards.

Some deals that are almost free are:

Colgate Total 4-4.2 oz. $3-$2.50 coupon from the ExtraCare Coupon Center.
Right Guard Total Defense 5 or Extreme Antiperspirant/Deodorant. $2.99-$2 extrabucks rewards.
Listerine Original, Cool Mint, FreshBurst, Zero 500ml or PocketPaks 72 ct. $2.99-$2 extrabucks rewards (may be repeated twice).
Chex Mix or Gardetto’s 5.5-8.75 oz. $1.99-$1 extrabucks rewards.

I found some coupons/deals to make some of these deals moneymakers. Coupons.com has a $1 coupon for the Glade PlugIns Scented Oil Warmer, which means an extra dollar in your pocket. SavingStar has a $1 back deal on the Right Guard, which gets you a penny back. If you wanted to get two Right Guard items, there is a $2 coupon  on Coupons.com for the purchase of 2 Right Guard deodorant/antiperspirant products. Then you would get 2 Right Guards for 98 cents after extrabucks rewards and the SavingStar deal.

May or may not back during the weekend. Don't have definite plans for most of the weekend, but I know I'll be at CVS on Sunday morning picking up some of these deals! Hope all of you have a great weekend.

It pays to take your vitamins!

I always love when CVS has Buy 1, Get 1 Free deals on vitamins because I take Vitamin D daily to combat chronic low vitamin D levels. But I was thrilled when I saw that CVS not only had another Buy 1, Get 1 Free vitamin deal this week, but CVS shoppers can get extrabucks rewards as well.

ALL CVS Calcium, Multiple or Letter Vitamins are part of the Buy 1, Get 1 Free plus $3 extrabucks rewards deal with the purchase of four bottles. CVS vitamins other than those previously mentioned are also eligible for the $3 extrabucks rewards deal, but they aren't part of the Buy 1, Get 1 Free deal. Examples of those would be fish oil, CO Q-10, glucosamine chondroitin, and iron.

But that's not the only extrabucks rewards deal CVS has this week on vitamins. Nature Made 60 ct. VitaMelts are on sale for $6.99 with $5 extrabucks rewards. By registering for the Nature Made Wellness Rewards program, you can not only get a $1 coupon on the VitaMelts, but you can earn points towards $3 and $7 coupons by entering the codes of vitamins you purchase.

Last, but certainly not least, there is a Buy $20, Get $5 extrabucks rewards or Buy $30, Get $10 Extrabucks rewards deal on Schiff Glucosamine, Move Free or MegaRed, and there is a Buy 1 Get 1 50 percent off deal on those supplements.

Wish all of you a wonderful evening.

Why you should to go to CVS this week!

(NOTE: Found out that the 2/$1 2-liter and 4/$10 12-pack deals were only Sunday-Monday deals. Sorry for the confusion, but there was nothing online to indicate they were two-day deals only.)

I'm not used to how CVS presents deals in its new online yet, so I didn't really see much that grabbed me the first time I went through it, so I decided to take one more glance, and I'm glad I did!

The big deal at CVS this week is that anyone with an ExtraCare card can take that card to the ExtraCare Card Center and scan it for a free 24 ct. bottle of CVS acetaminophen!

AND all Pepsi, A&W, 7UP, Canada Dry, and Sunkist 2-liter bottles are on sale for 2/$1 with a limit of 4! Additionally, All Pepsi and Dr. Pepper brand 12-pks are on sale for 4/$10, and 7UP, Canada Dry, Sunkist, and A&W brand 12-pks are on sale for 3/$11.

For all of the Colgate fans out there, there is a really great extrabucks rewards deals on Colgate toothpaste and Colgate mouthwash this week. CVS shoppers can get $2.50 extrabucks rewards on 6 oz. tubes of Colgate MaxClean, MaxFresh, or MaxWhite toothpaste. The even better news is they are on sale for only $3! Also on sale are 1-liter bottles of Colgate mouthwash for $5.99 with $3 in extrabucks rewards. Additionally, Coupons.com has a $2 coupon good for the 1 liter size to boot, which would make a bottle 99 cents after extrabucks rewards!

Finally, if you are a chronic allergy sufferer like I am, CVS brand Cetirizine, Loratadine or Fexofenadine 30 ct. are Buy 1, Get 1 free this week!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week, and God bless our veterans for what they have done for our country and those presently in the military for their service.

Double CVS Beuaty Club rewards during November!

I always though December or February were months for beauty products because they holidays bring a lot of parties where a lady want to look her best, and February is a time to enhance one's beauty for the love in one's life.

However, CVS seems to think November should be the month of beauty because CVS Beauty Club members will get $10 for every $50 of beauty items purchased instead of the usual $5!

This week's CVS weekly has the following extrabucks rewards beauty deals:

$4 extrabucks rewards with the purchase of 2 Aveeno Lotion 8-12 oz., Cream 3-7.3 oz., ALL Aveeno Personal Cleansing, Curél, Jergens Lotion 13-21 oz., Bioré Cleanser 4.5-6.77 oz., Towelettes 30 ct. or Pore Strips 6-8 ct.

Get $4 extrabucks rewards on any 2 L'Oreal Hair Color.
Buy $20, Get $5 extrabucks rewards on ANY Garnier Skin Care.

As tempting as it is to run out and pick up some of these deals, I would wait on all of them until Thursday with the exception of the Softsoap/Irish Spring deal. All of the other deals don't feature any sale-priced items, and CVS may send of a percentage off deal on all regular-priced items out on Thursday. I'd also check the CVS website online tomorrow (11/4/13) to see of if there are any coupons waiting for you at the ExtraCare Coupon Center than can be used on any of these deals. Last week I got a $3 off of any Revlon cosmetics items that I definitely am going to use on the Revlon deal!

CVS helping keeping beautiful affordable

CVS started out enticing me to stock up on L'Oreal products by sending me a $1 off coupon on any L'Oreal product through email. The coupon, which expires 10/28/13, can be used either on the Buy $10, Get $3 extrabucks rewards deal this week on all L'Oreal eye and nail or the Buy $10, Get $3 extrabucks rewards deal next week on all L'Oreal cosmetics.

Since the coupon said "all L'Oreal products", it also could be used toward deals on hair and skin care items as well. L'Oreal Excellence is on sale at CVS for $6.99 this week, and it will be on sale next week for Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off.  There also will be a Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off deal on L'Oreal hair care (excluding salon). To help out even further with the L'Oreal hair color deals, there may be a $3 off $15 coupon on any hair color or highlight purchase coupon waiting for you and the ExtraCare Coupon Center. The coupon expires Nov. 6. Other hair color products on sale this week at CVS are Revlon Luxurious ColorSilk Buttercream Hair Color at 2/$9,  Revlon ColorSilk Hair Color (excluding twin pack) at 2/$6, and Clairol Nice 'n Easy or Natural Instincts at $5.99 with $2 in extrabucks rewards (Limit 1). Next week Garnier Olia hair color will be on sale for $8.99, Clairol Nice 'n Easy or Natural Instincts at 2/$11.98, and Dark and Lovely Hair Color at 2/$12.

Another ExtraCare Coupon Center coupon that may be awaiting you when you go into CVS is a $3 coupon off of any Revlon cosmetics purchase. This week CVS has a Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off sale on all Revlon cosmetics, and next week CVS has a Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off sale on all Revlon cosmetics and beauty tools. Both deals exclude lashes.

The L'Oreal Paris USA site has a $3 coupon for L'Oreal Excellence as well as a $1 coupon good on any L'Oreal product. Any hair color purchase can be counted toward the L'Oreal Gold REwards Loyalty Program. A purchase of five boxes of hair color will earn a free box. Additionally, through Oct. 31, any product code entered will earn program members a free 5 x 7 Snapfish photo book. The RedPlum insert in tomorrow's Sunday papers also will include several L'Oreal coupons.

Sunday newspapers also will have P&G everyday inserts, which will have a $5/2 coupon for Clairol hair color products. The SmartSource insert will have a $1 coupon for any Revlon cosmetic. Finally, there also is a $1.50 coupon on RedPlum.com for any Dark and Lovely product.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. And I'll keep looking for good deals at CVS.
