Well, the deal on Venus razors and refills I posted a few days ago isn't what I got out of viewing Sunday Coupon Preview and the CVS online circular. The online circular made it sound like you could buy one of the pictured Venus items and use the $5 coupon in the P&G brandSAVER circular to increase you savings from $5 to $10. Not exactly. The $5 coupon is for the purchase a Venus razor and a refill. On the other hand, you don't have to purchase both to get the $5 extrabucks rewards.
But there is a Buy 1, Get 1 Free coupon in the P&G brandSAVER circular for Gillette male disposable razors and Gillette female disposable razors. I priced a package of Venus disposable razors at my local CVS, and they were $11.49.
So this means:
1. If you buy 2 packages of Venus disposable razors with the coupon, it would be like getting a package for $5.75.
2. Since the disposable razors are included in the Buy $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards offer in the CVS Weekly Ad, buying two packages of Venus disposable razors would be $22.98 of the $30 purchase requirement, but you actually would be speding $11.49.
3. Venus is one of the brands that is included in the $15 rebate on $50 of selected P&G brands. The terms of the offer say the before coupon price applies, so you would be almost half way to the $50 minimum purchase requirement.
4. If there are both male and female disposable razor users in your household, you could use both coupons, get four packages of razors for the price of two, and get $10 in extrabucks rewards.
These razors will be part of at least one of my shopping trips at the end of the week where I will use manufacturer's coupons, CVS coupons, and extrabucks rewards to get all my items for free. Let you know what I got.
P.S. When I wrote about the 50 cent deal on Cheez-It crackers a few days ago, I didn't realize that the $1.50 coupon available through Kellogg's Family Rewards was good for boxes of crackers 8 oz. and over. The Cheez-It cracakers that are on sale this week come in a 7 oz. box.
