$5 off on any $15 purchase! I'm in again!

While part of me was hoping for a percentage coupon from CVS to use in conjunction with my $5 off a $15 or more cosmetics purchase coupon. I was elated to get a $5 off a $15 or more purchase! While both coupons can't be used simultaneously, the one I got today will be very helpful with some of the extrabucks rewards deals I had planned on taking advantage of this weekend.

I know I can't resist the Buy $12, Get $6 extrabucks rewards deal on select Softsoap, Irish Spring, Speed Stick, Lady Speed Stick, or Colgate products. If you got the SmartSource section in last Sunday's paper, there are several coupons that can be used toward the deal, according to a list of coupons published by Sunday Coupon Preview.

One of those coupons is a Buy 1, Get 1 Free coupon for Speed Stick, men's or women's. Speed Stick and Lady Speed Stick are on sale for $1.99 this week. The coupon excludes trial sizes and the Gear variety for men, but the Gear variety also is on sale for $1.99 this week at CVS. Softsoap hand wash is on sale for $2, and Softsoap and Irish Spring body washes are on sale for $4/12. The SmartSource coupon flyer in last week's paper had a 35 cent coupon for the hand soap, a 75 cent coupon for Softsoap body wash, and a $1 coupon for Irish Spring body wash. Colgate power toothbrushes are part of the deal and are on sale for $6, and the SmartSource coupon section had a $2 coupon for them. Colgate Optic White 4.0 oz. toothpaste and 1 ct. Optic White manual toothbrushes are the final items that are eligible for this deal. The SmartSource coupon section also had a $1 coupon that could be used on the toothpaste. That coupon also is available on the website.

Since the $5 off coupon requires at $15 minimum purchase, there is a related $1 extrabucks rewards deal on Colgate Total 5.8-6 oz., Total Mouthwash 250ml or 360ยบ Floss-Tip Toothbrush 1 ct.. They are on sale for $2.99, and the offer can be repeated twice. The coupon that is good for the Colgate Optic White toothpaste also can be used for the Colgate Total toothpaste.

If you want a $3 add-on of the food variety, Chex Mix or Gardetto's 5.5-8.75 oz. are on sale for 4/$6 this week (or 2/$3). There is a 50 cent/2 coupon available on, AND SavingStar members can get an additional 50 cents back with the purchase of two bags of these snacks.
You also could purchase a 8-pk. of 7.5 oz. Coke products or a 5.6-10.5 oz. Hershey’s or Brookside Pouch. Both are on sale for 2/$6 and are part of a Buy $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal on Coke, Nabisco, Sunshine, Hershey's, Brookside, and Planter's products.

With the purchase of the Colgate and other personal care related products, you would get the $6 extrabucks rewards from completing that deal, plus you would already have spent $3 toward the Buy 30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal that the Coke 8-pks. and Hershey's and Brookside pouches are eligible for.  Other items eligible for the Buy $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal are:

Coke 12 pk., 12 oz Cans. (Limit 8): 4/$10
Dr. Pepper 12 pk., 12 oz Cans. (limit 8): 4/$10
Hershey’s Singles 1.4-2.06 oz.: Buy 2, Get 1 Free
Kit Kat or Reese’s Snack Size 10.5-10.78 oz.: 2/$5
Planters Mixed Nuts 10.3 oz. or Cashew Halves 8 oz.: 2/$8
Planters Peanuts 16 oz.: 2/$6
Nutter Butter, Newtons, Honey Maid, Fresh Stacks Crackers 12-16 oz. or Goldfish 5.25-8 oz.: $1.99
Wheat Thins, Triscuit or Ritz 7-15.1 oz.: 2/$5
Cheez-It 6-7.5 oz.: 3/$5
Powerade 8 pk.: $3.99
Vitaminwater 6 pk.: $3.99

There are a few other combinations that some might be interested in, but I'll leave that for another post since it will take some in-store research. Have a good evening!

$5 off of a $15 cosmetics purchase coupon! I'm in!

Lately, the ExtraCare Coupon Center hasn't been giving me very many coupons, so I was excited to get a $5 off a $15 cosmetics purchase coupon on Sunday. And it's even more exciting that this coupon is available to all.

What makes it even better is that there are several extrabucks rewards deals on which the coupon can be used. The best fit is a Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards on Covergirl eye and lip products. has  $1/2 coupon on all Covergirl eye products to save you even more money.

There are four other extrabucks rewards on which you can use the coupon if you spend $15. One of those is a Buy $12, get $4 extrabucks rewards deal on L'Oreal face, eye, and lip products. has a $1 coupon on any L'Oreal eye product and a $1 coupon on L'Oreal Extraordinaire Colour Riche or any L'Oreal Paris lip product. The L'Oreal Paris USA website still has the $1 off any L'Oreal Paris product. Revlon users can get $4 extrabucks rewards on any $12 or more Revlon cosmetics product, and Maybelline users can get $4 extrabucks rewards on a $12 or more purchase of Maybelline eye products. Six dollars can be yours if you buy two Neutrogena cosmetics. You also can save an extra dollar by using the coupon for Neutrogena cosmetics on the Healthy Essentials site.

There also are some other cosmetics brands that are on sale this week on which the Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards coupon can be used. Physicians Formula cosmetics are 40 percent off this week. All Milani and Almay cosmetics are Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off.

But as tempting as it is to use the coupon, I'm waiting until Thursday to see if CVS will issue a percentage off coupon so I can save even more money on the extrabucks rewards deals since none of them involve sale items. And whatever cosmetics purchases I make, they will count toward a $5 CVS Beauty Club coupon as soon as I purchase $50 worth of beauty items.

Will try to get back in the swing of posting CVS Tips. There have been a variety of issues why there have been so few lately. But I get excited when I write these and am able to help others save money at CVS.
