Coupons for this week's CVS deals and a correction

First, the correction. In my last post, I said there was a limit of 10 times the $10 extrabucks rewards Procter and Gamble/vitamin deal could be repeated and a limit of 12 times the $12 extrabucks rewards diet aids deal could be repeated. While the deals said "limit 10" and "limit 12" respectively in the sneak peek online version of this week's ad, the print version says "Limit $10" for the P&G/vitamin deal and "Limit $12" for the diet aids deal. I did say the deal on the diet aids was unbelievable, and it and the P&G/vitamins deal turned out to be so... Good news, though. I did say the $4 off of a $20 or more purchase coupon is actually good though Monday (12/30/13) rather than Sunday (12/29/13).

Now for coupons.

In today's (12/29/13) newspaper, there was only a Procter and Gamble coupon insert, but it has several coupons that can be use towards the Buy $20/Get $5 extrabucks rewards or Buy $30/Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal on Procter and Gamble and vitamins deal.

CVS Beauty Club resets 12-31, extrabucks rewards deals to get to $50 in beauty spendings

As the end of the year approaches, I always check my CVS Beauty Club purchase history to see where I am with my CVS beauty purchases and see whether or not it's worth it to try to get another $5 extrabucks rewards before totals on Dec. 31.

Since I have less than $6 to go, I've been looking for deals that can get me there AND also net my some extrabucks rewards.

Fortunately, CVS has several extrabucks rewards to choose from.

Both Almay cosmetics (excluding clearance) and Neutrogena cleaning products (excluding acne wipes, bar soap, trial/travel and Wave device) are Buy 2, Get $5 extrabucks rewards this week. The $5/2 coupon on Almay products I mentioned in a previous post is still available on Coupons.com and in the coupon section of the CVS website. You also may want to check your ExtraCare account online or go to the ExtraCare Coupon Center in your local CVS store to see if you got a $2 off $10 of Mascara, Lipstick, Nail Polish, Foundation or Blush coupon like I did! The Healthy Essentials website has a $1 coupon for Neutrogena facial cleanser or moisturizer. The Healthy Essentials coupon can be printed only once.

If you're in need of shampoo and/or conditioner and need to spend $10 to get to $50 in beauty purchases, there is a Buy $10, Get $3 extrabucks rewards deal on  Head & Shoulders, Pantene, Aussie, Herbal Essences Shampoo or Conditioner 22.8-29.2 oz., which are on sale this week for $5.99. There are $2/2 and 75cents/1 coupons for Pantene shampoo or conditioner available on Coupons.com as well as a $1/1 coupon for any Head & Shoulders product. I also got a $3 off $15 shampoo, conditioner, hair treatment or styling coupon in my ExtraCare account, which could be used if you decided to purchase $15 or more of these products.

CVS also has a Buy $10, Get $3 extrabucks rewards deal on  Nuance Salma Hayek Cosmetics, Hair, Body or Facial Care.

CVS Beauty Club members who do their own nails may be interested in a couple of $4 extrabucks rewards deals in the current CVS ad, which runs until tomorrow. One of those is a $4 extrabucks rewards deal on the purchase of $9 on ALL Artificial Nails (excluding glue and clearance items). There also is a Buy $12, Get $4 extrabucks rewards deal on CVS Cosmetics, Personal Cleansing, Hand/Body Lotions, Facial Care or Hair Care. (Excludes hand sanitizer 2 oz. and clearance items.) Among the items eligible are nail polish remover and cotton rounds or pads. Also, if you bought $15 worth of CVS Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair Treatment or Styling products, you could use the $3 CVS coupon that may be available in you ExtraCare account.

Nail polish is one of items eligible for the Buy $10, Get $2 extrabucks rewards on Maybelline Great Lash Mascara or Color Show Nail. The $2 off $10 of Mascara, Lipstick, Nail Polish, Foundation or Blush coupon from the ExtraCare Coupon Center would allow you to save an extra $2 on this deal if it was added to your ExtraCare account.

Rounding out the extrabucks rewards deals on beauty items are a Buy $15, Get $10 extrabucks rewards on ALL Physicians Formula Cosmetics.

I hope to be back before the end of the year to let you know about any other beauty or other deals that take place before the end of the year. May your holidays be blessed.

$10 extrabucks rewards, 25 percent off coupon, and coupons equal great savings!

Haven't done this in awhile, but I thought it would be helpful to round up some sizable extrabucks rewards deals on which the 25 percent coupon CVS sent out to Extracare Rewards members can be use to save even more money. If the items in an extrabucks rewards deal aren't sale priced, CVS shoppers can use the 25 percent coupon toward those items.

One that caught my eye right away is the Buy $20, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal on Excedrin products. It also helps that there are coupons on Coupons.com to help out with the deal. Coupons.com has a $1 off coupon on any 24 ct. or larger bottle and a $2 off coupon on any bottle 100 ct. or larger. Combined with the 25 percent coupon, you would end up spending very little money toward stocking up on Excedrin after extrabucks rewards.

Another health $10 extrabucks rewards deal is a Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal on Prevacid 42 ct. or Benefiber 125 doses. SmartSource.com has a $4 coupon good for the Prevacid.

CVS has another Buy $20, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal on the purchase of any Eucerin or Aquaphor product.

Over in the Personal Care section of CVS, there is a Buy $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal on Gillette shaving products. Venus shaving products are included, and they are eligible for the P&G Holiday Rebate, which I mentioned in an earlier post. With the purchase of $50 worth of beauty products, you can get a $15 gift card from Procter and Gamble. In addition to Venus products, other eligible products are:

Aussie
Herbal Essences
Clairol
Safeguard
Covergirl
Pantene
Secret
Olay
Head & Shoulders
Ivory
Always
Tampax
Crest 3D White Whitestrips
Vidal Sassoon

There also is a $2 coupon on the CVS website good on a Venus razor or refill purchase and another $2 coupon for a Gillette razor or refill purchase. Additionally, there is a $1.50 off coupon for 1 package of Gillette disposable razors, and a 75 cents off coupon for Gillette shave prep.

The 25 percent coupon is good through Sunday, so it can be used on extrabucks rewards deals that run from Dec. 22-Dec. 24.

If you prefer Schick products to those made by Gillette, there will be a Buy $25, Get $10 extrabucks rewards on all Schick Razors, Cartridges, Disposable Razors, Skintimate or Edge Shave Gel. SmartSource.com has $4 coupons for Schick Hydro Silk disposable packs and Schick Hydro 5 disposable packs.

Also starting next week is a $10 extrabucks rewards deal with the purchase of Vichy Liftactiv Retinol HA for Vichy Neovadiol Gf Night. Since those products start at $33, 25 percent off would be really helpful on those. However, I got a message with my personalized deals that the products might not be available in my area, so that may be the case with other CVS customers as well.

Not sure if I will be able to write another CVS Tips before the end of the year. May everyone and their families have a wonderful holiday season!

Next week a great week for CVS deals!

As I promised, I took a peed at next week's circular and was excited to see that there are a lot of deals next week! Happy, happy, joy, joy!

Since there's so many, it will take some time to go through them, but I thought I'd take the time to mention a couple that are low OOP deals with coupons to make them even better.

One of those is a $2 extrabucks rewards deal on the purchase of one Advil Film-Coated, Liquid-Gels or Migraine 20-80 ct. bottle. Since the starting price is $4.99, you could come away with a bottle for just $2.99. But that's not all! According to Sunday Coupon Preview, there will be a couple of coupons you could use on the deal. In Sunday's SmartSource coupon flyer, there will be a $1 coupon good for any Advil product and a $2 coupon good for a 40+ count bottle of  film coated Advil. If you got a 20 percent off coupon in the mail that can be used this weekend, you could use it on this purchase on Sunday since the Advil isn't sale priced.

Also, select Moisturizing Body Wash Assorted Scents 12 oz. or Essence of Beauty Cleansing Bath Poufs are on sale for $1.88 AND there will be a coupon available at the ExtraCare Coupon Center for $1.00 off the body washes or a pouf! To keep your hands nice and clean, Softsoap Liquid Hand Soap 7.5-8 oz. will also be on sale for $1.88 AND, YES, there also will be a $1 coupon at the ExtraCare Coupon Center that can used on the purchase!

Finally, next week CVS will up the extrabucks rewards on the purchase of 2 Hershey’s Holiday Kisses or Miniatures 7.8-8.5 oz. from $2 to $3 with the price remaining at 2/$6. You can save even more money with a $1.10/2 coupon available on Coupons.com.

I'll get back with all of you on more upcoming deals! Take care.

Stock up on CVS personal care and beauty products, get up to $10 extrabucks rewards

Whenever I experiment with new nail polishes, I either don't like them or get them all over my hands. But starting over is always easy because I always have some CVS nail polish remover and CVS cotton squares on hand.

So I was happy to see the Buy $10, Get $4 extrabucks rewards or Buy $20, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal on CVS Brand Cosmetics, Facial Care, Personal Cleansing, Deodorant, Hair Care, Hand/Body Lotions, Shaving Items or Oral Care products. With both beauty and personal care items eligible for this deal, it's easy to get to $20 to get the $10 in extra bucks rewards.

For instance, in addition to CVS nail polish and CVS cotton squares, I need some shavers, which are also eligible for the deal. I've also been know to buy CVS oral care products, and CVS mouthwash, toothbrushes, and dental floss also are eligible products. I also use CVS liquid hand soap and body wash, and I can pick some of those up this week and get extrabucks back.

If you got a 20 percent off coupon in the mail, you can wait until Saturday and get an additional 20 percent off those items since they aren't sale priced, which mean you can spend only $8 out of pocket to get the Buy $10, Get $4 extrabucks deal or spend on $16 out of pocket to get the Buy $20, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal. If you didn't get that coupon, also could buy $10 worth of items in one purchase and make a second purchase and use the $4 extrabucks rewards to help pay for the other $10 needed to get the other $6 in extrabucks rewards.

Also, if you got the $6 off of a $30 beauty purchase coupon in the email earlier this week and bought strictly beauty items for the CVS brand deal, you could use the $6 coupon in conjunction with the CVS deal and another beauty extrabucks rewards deal and get even more extrabucks. Other extrabucks rewards that you could combine with the CVS deal are:

Buy $12, Get $4 extrabucks rewards on Almay Intense i-Color Shadow, Liner, Mascara. $5.99
Buy $12, Get $4 extrabucks rewards on Almay cosmetics excluding Almay Intense.
Buy $10, Get $3 extrabucks rewards on Head & Shoulders, Aussie, Pantene, Herbal Essences Shampoo or Conditioner 22.8-29.2 oz.
Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards on Simple Facial Care.
Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards on select Soft Sheen Carson Hair Care Products. May be repeated 4 times.
Buy $10, Get $5 extrabucks rewards on select Fantasia, Hollywood Beauty, Creme of Nature, Blue Magic, Doo Gro or Roux Hair Care.

With the exception of the Almay Intense I-Color products, all the other deals also would be eligible for the extra 20 percent off coupon since they are not on sale.

Now if you want your beauty products and drink you Coke, too, you could buy $10 worth of beauty items for the Buy $20, Get $5 extrabucks rewards deal on Coke, Dr. Pepper, and Procter & Gamble products extrabucks rewards deal. Beauty items associated with this deal are Covergirl Face, Lip, Outlast Nail or Eye (excluding Bombshell Mascara) at Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off and Pantene Shampoo, Conditioner 12.6 oz. or Styler 5.7-11.5 oz. at 2/$7. Since those items are on sale, they wouldn't be eligible for the 20 percent coupon good this weekend.

However, there are some coupons on Coupons.com for Pantene and Covergirl items. Those include:

75 cents/1 Pantene shampoo or conditioner
$2/2 Pantene shampoo or conditioner
$1/1 Covergirl mascara
$1/1 Pantene styler or treatment product

The Pantene coupons are also available on P&G everyday. In addition to the Covergirl mascara coupon, the site has the following coupons:

75 cents/1 Covergirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Gloss
$1/1 Covergirl Clean Whipped Crème Foundation
75 cents/1 Covergirl Flamed Out Shadow Pot or Flamed Out Shadow Mascara

Coupons.com also has a $2/1 Simple moisturizer or cleanser (excluding trial sizes and wipes) coupon good for the Simple extrabucks rewards deal.

On a general beauty note, CVS Beauty Club rewards start fresh on Jan. 1, 2014, so if you're close to getting a $5 reward on $50 worth of beauty purchases, one or more of these beauty deals can help you get your $5 reward before the end of the year. On a general CVS note, Dec. 15 is the deadline for purchases to qualify for double quarterly extrabucks rewards.

Well, tomorrow brings a sneak peek at next week's upcoming deals. I'll see what I can find and see what coupons I can get to help out with those deals. Have a great evening.

Some deals that are almost free are:

Right Guard Total Defense 5 or Extreme Antiperspirant/Deodorant. $2.99-$2 extrabucks rewards.
Listerine Original, Cool Mint, FreshBurst, Zero 500ml or PocketPaks 72 ct. $2.99-$2 extrabucks rewards (may be repeated twice).
Chex Mix or Gardetto’s 5.5-8.75 oz. $1.99-$1 extrabucks rewards.

I found some coupons/deals to make some of these deals moneymakers. Coupons.com has a $1 coupon for the Glade PlugIns Scented Oil Warmer, which means an extra dollar in your pocket. SavingStar has a $1 back deal on the Right Guard, which gets you a penny back. If you wanted to get two Right Guard items, there is a $2 coupon  on Coupons.com for the purchase of 2 Right Guard deodorant/antiperspirant products. Then you would get 2 Right Guards for 98 cents after extrabucks rewards and the SavingStar deal.

May or may not back during the weekend. Don't have definite plans for most of the weekend, but I know I'll be at CVS on Sunday morning picking up some of these deals! Hope all of you have a great weekend.

It pays to take your vitamins!

I always love when CVS has Buy 1, Get 1 Free deals on vitamins because I take Vitamin D daily to combat chronic low vitamin D levels. But I was thrilled when I saw that CVS not only had another Buy 1, Get 1 Free vitamin deal this week, but CVS shoppers can get extrabucks rewards as well.

ALL CVS Calcium, Multiple or Letter Vitamins are part of the Buy 1, Get 1 Free plus $3 extrabucks rewards deal with the purchase of four bottles. CVS vitamins other than those previously mentioned are also eligible for the $3 extrabucks rewards deal, but they aren't part of the Buy 1, Get 1 Free deal. Examples of those would be fish oil, CO Q-10, glucosamine chondroitin, and iron.

But that's not the only extrabucks rewards deal CVS has this week on vitamins. Nature Made 60 ct. VitaMelts are on sale for $6.99 with $5 extrabucks rewards. By registering for the Nature Made Wellness Rewards program, you can not only get a $1 coupon on the VitaMelts, but you can earn points towards $3 and $7 coupons by entering the codes of vitamins you purchase.

Last, but certainly not least, there is a Buy $20, Get $5 extrabucks rewards or Buy $30, Get $10 Extrabucks rewards deal on Schiff Glucosamine, Move Free or MegaRed, and there is a Buy 1 Get 1 50 percent off deal on those supplements.

Wish all of you a wonderful evening.

Why you should to go to CVS this week!

(NOTE: Found out that the 2/$1 2-liter and 4/$10 12-pack deals were only Sunday-Monday deals. Sorry for the confusion, but there was nothing online to indicate they were two-day deals only.)

I'm not used to how CVS presents deals in its new online yet, so I didn't really see much that grabbed me the first time I went through it, so I decided to take one more glance, and I'm glad I did!

The big deal at CVS this week is that anyone with an ExtraCare card can take that card to the ExtraCare Card Center and scan it for a free 24 ct. bottle of CVS acetaminophen!

AND all Pepsi, A&W, 7UP, Canada Dry, and Sunkist 2-liter bottles are on sale for 2/$1 with a limit of 4! Additionally, All Pepsi and Dr. Pepper brand 12-pks are on sale for 4/$10, and 7UP, Canada Dry, Sunkist, and A&W brand 12-pks are on sale for 3/$11.

For all of the Colgate fans out there, there is a really great extrabucks rewards deals on Colgate toothpaste and Colgate mouthwash this week. CVS shoppers can get $2.50 extrabucks rewards on 6 oz. tubes of Colgate MaxClean, MaxFresh, or MaxWhite toothpaste. The even better news is they are on sale for only $3! Also on sale are 1-liter bottles of Colgate mouthwash for $5.99 with $3 in extrabucks rewards. Additionally, Coupons.com has a $2 coupon good for the 1 liter size to boot, which would make a bottle 99 cents after extrabucks rewards!

Finally, if you are a chronic allergy sufferer like I am, CVS brand Cetirizine, Loratadine or Fexofenadine 30 ct. are Buy 1, Get 1 free this week!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week, and God bless our veterans for what they have done for our country and those presently in the military for their service.

Double CVS Beuaty Club rewards during November!

I always though December or February were months for beauty products because they holidays bring a lot of parties where a lady want to look her best, and February is a time to enhance one's beauty for the love in one's life.

However, CVS seems to think November should be the month of beauty because CVS Beauty Club members will get $10 for every $50 of beauty items purchased instead of the usual $5!

This week's CVS weekly has the following extrabucks rewards beauty deals:

$4 extrabucks rewards with the purchase of 2 Aveeno Lotion 8-12 oz., Cream 3-7.3 oz., ALL Aveeno Personal Cleansing, Curél, Jergens Lotion 13-21 oz., Bioré Cleanser 4.5-6.77 oz., Towelettes 30 ct. or Pore Strips 6-8 ct.
Buy $10, Get $4 extrabucks rewards on ALL Almay Cosmetics.
$2 extrabucks rewards with the purchase of  Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Nail Color or Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips. (Can be repeated twice!)
Buy $10, Get $3 extrabucks rewards on Nuance Salma Hayek Cosmetics, Hair, Body or Facial Care.
$3 extrabucks rewards on ALL Revlon Lip Products or Nail Polish.(Can be repeated six times!)
Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards on Maybelline Foundation, Powder, Blush, Concealer, Eye or Lip Products.
Buy $15, Get $7 extrabucks rewards on Milani Cosmetics.
Buy $12, Get $4 extrabucks rewards on ALL L'Oreal Face, Eye or Lip Products.
Buy $12, Get $4 extrabucks rewards Softsoap Body Wash 15-18 oz., Liquid Hand Soap 8.5 oz., Irish Spring Body Wash 15 oz. or Bar 6 pk.: 2/$7
$4 extrabucks rewards with the purchase of 2 Neutrogena Hand Cream 2 oz., ALL Neutrogena Hair Care, Men’s or Specialty Bath Items.
Get $4 extrabucks rewards on any 2 L'Oreal Hair Color.
Buy $20, Get $5 extrabucks rewards on ANY Garnier Skin Care.

As tempting as it is to run out and pick up some of these deals, I would wait on all of them until Thursday with the exception of the Softsoap/Irish Spring deal. All of the other deals don't feature any sale-priced items, and CVS may send of a percentage off deal on all regular-priced items out on Thursday. I'd also check the CVS website online tomorrow (11/4/13) to see of if there are any coupons waiting for you at the ExtraCare Coupon Center than can be used on any of these deals. Last week I got a $3 off of any Revlon cosmetics items that I definitely am going to use on the Revlon deal!

The following coupons that can be used on these deals are listed in Sunday Coupon Preview as being available in Sunday (11/3/13) papers:

CVS and SavingStar come to the rescue for breakfast!

One of the reasons I shop at CVS a lot is that CVS generally has good deals on breakfast foods, and SavingStar often has deals that match up with CVS' deals.

This week I took advantage of a $2 back SavingStar reward deal for buying any four Kellogg's cereal, 12-ct. Pop-Tarts, or Keebler Cookies along with a gallon of milk. Since there is a $1 extrabucks rewards deal on milk, I ended up getting the milk for $1.99 after extrabucks rewards, and with the $2 back from SavingStar, the milk ended up being free.

Or, you could say one of the four boxes of cereal I bought ended up being free since selected 9-18.2 oz. Kellogg's cereals are on sale this week for $1.99 along with 8-ct. boxes of Pop-Tarts, 10 ct. boxes of Quaker instant oatmeal and Chewy granola bars, 10-ct. Cars fruit snacks, 8 ct. Rice Krispies Treats, and 40-ct. Truvia packs.

Select General Mills cereals are on sale for $1.88, and there are a few SavingStar deals on those as well. SavingStar matchups for this week include Honey Nut Cheerios (50 cents), Multi Grain Cheerios (75 cents), and Lucky Charms (50 cents).

You can save $1 on the purchase of both Honey Nut Cheerios and Multi Grain Cheerios with a coupon available on Coupons.com. Also available on Coupons.com is a 50 cent coupon on Lucky Charms. The Kellogg's website has coupons good on the Kelloggs cereals on sale this week. They include:

$1/2 any Rice Krispies cereal(Cocoa Krispies included)
$1/2 any Rice Krispies, Corn Flakes, or Raisin Bran cereals
$1/3 any Kellogg's cereal
$1/2 any Kellogg's Krave cereal
$1/3 any Kellogg's Corn Pops, Frosted Flakes, Honey Smacks, and Krave (Note:this coupon can be used on Froot Loops and Frosted Mini-Wheats Little Bites, but they're not included in the cereals on sale)

There are some other deals on SavingStar related to breakfast, but I'll leave those for another post. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Good time to stock up on cosmetics with the Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards coupon

This week all CVS shoppers will receive a Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards coupon from the ExtraCare Coupon Center. How great is that? What makes it even greater is that there are several extrabucks rewards deal that can stretch the coupon even further.

The one deal I intend to take advantage of is the Buy $10, Get $3 extrabucks rewards deal on L'Oreal. The reason why I chose this deal is that it can be repeated twice, so if I spend $20, I can use the $5 extrabucks rewards coupon and get $6 in extrabucks rewards, which makes it like $9 after extrabucks rewards. You can save even more by using the $1 off of any L'Oreal product coupon on the L'Oreal Paris USA site, and Save.com has a $1 off coupon good for any L'Oreal eye product.

If you buy $15 worth of Covergirl cosmetics, you also can use the coupon toward the Buy $20, Get $5 extrabucks rewards deal on a variety of Procter and Gamble products, Mars candy, and Dove chocolate. There even are coupons good on the featured candy in these deals. Save.com has a Buy 2. Get 1 Free coupon good for M&Ms and a $1.50/3 on Mars Chocolate Halloween bags.

If you can't decide between cosmetics, household products, or candy, the deal is repeatable twice, so you can get it all. And if you get $20 worth of items, you can use the $5 extrabucks rewards toward the next $20 worth of items.

Another extrabucks rewards cosmetics deal that would lend itself to the Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards coupon on cosmetics is the Buy $12, Get $4 extrabucks rewards deal on all Revlon cosmetics since that deal can be repeated up to six times. By using the coupon for $24 worth of Revlon cosmetics, you would receive $8 in extrabucks rewards, which would be like getting the cosmetics for $11 after extrabucks rewards. Additionally, Coupons.com has a $2 coupon for Revlon ColorStay cosmetics.

There also is a Buy $10, Get $6 extrabucks rewards deal on Physicians Formula cosmetics. While the deal is repeatable only once, if you bought $15 worth of the cosmetics to use the coupon, it would be like getting $15 worth of Physicians Formula cosmetics for only $4.

That's all for this evening. Have a great week!

While it looks like no one else can get in on the Buy $20, Get $5 Henkel products deal on SavingStar any longer, there also are some good deals at CVS that count toward the deal if you were able to get in on it. The ExtraCare Coupon Center has a $1.50/3 Renuzit Adjustables coupon. They are on sale for 3/$3, so the coupon makes the final price 3/$1.50! There also is a $5 extrabucks rewards deal on Oral B Vitality Floss, 3D White Action rechargeable toothbrushes, Pro-Health power toothbrushes, or 3 pk. power refills.

If you are looking for a manual toothbrush, there's a $2 extrabucks rewards deal on Colgate 360 or Optic White toothbrushes. At 2.99, the toothbrush would be 99 cents after extrabucks rewards. it would be even lower at 49 cents if you have the 50 cent coupon from Sunday's paper.

CVS has a Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off deal on Polident 78-84 ct., Poligrip 1.6-2.4 oz., 40 count strips, Sensodyne3.4-4.3 oz., twin pack (8 oz. total), or 8.4 oz. Pronamel rinse. Rounding out the deals on oral care this week is a 2/$6.98 special in Crest w/Scope 4.1-8 oz., 3D White or ProHealth 5.8-6 oz. toothpaste, 250-500ml ProHealth rinse, 8-16 oz. Clinical rinse, or Glide Floss. There are $1 coupons on the Policare website for any size Polident and Super Poligrip. The Sensodyne site has a 75 cent coupon for any size of toothpaste, and the Pronamel site has a $1 coupon for the rinse.

I would have let you know about these deals sooner, but the CVS weekly ad is in a different format now. Instead of being a replica of the print ad, the weekly ad is specialized for each CVS shopper. Additionally, there aren't sizes given for the products eligible for the extrabucks rewards deals. Without that information, it's hard to match coupons to the deals since many coupons have a size restrictions on them. So I'm afraid to give out any info about upcoming deals without knowing that information.

What I probably will end up doing is letting you know about deals in advance that probably don't have a possible size requirement attached to them.

Hope everyone has had a wonderful week so far.

Cereal, breakfast bars, coffee, juice, and savings

Cheerios has been a favorite cereal of mine since I was a child. While I like many of the flavored varieties that have come out since I was an adult, I always have a soft spot for the original Cheerios in the yellow box.

No matter what variety of Cheerios you like, CVS has 11.25-14 oz. boxes on sale this week for 2/$4 as well as 5-count boxes of Fiber One bars. If you belong to SavingStar, you can get 50 cents back on the original Cheerios as well as 50 cents back on one box of Fiber One protein bars.

Additionally, Coupons.com has a 50 cents off coupon on Honey Nut Cheerios as well as a $1/3 boxes of any General Mills Cereal.

Rounding out the cereal and breakfast bar deals are Quaker instant oatmeal and Quaker Chewy granola bars at 2/$5 and Gold Emblem breakfast bars, also at 2/$5.

Also on sale this week at CVS are Special K cereal, bars, and pastry crisps at 2/$5 with $1 in extrabucks rewards. There is a $1/3 coupon on Kelloggs.com for the cereal. If you are a member of Kellogg's Family Rewards, you also can get double points on Special K® Bars, Beverages, Breakfast Shakes, Chips, Crackers, Frozen Breakfasts, Hot Cereal, Sweet Snacks, Waffles and Red Berries Cereal through 9/30/2013. Special K chips also are on sale at CVS this week for 2/$5.

To go along with the cereal and breakfast bars, you can wash them down with milk, juice, or coffee as there are several sales on these items this week.

If you're buying cereal, you need milk to pour over it, and CVS has a $1 extrabucks rewards deal on Dean's Milk, which is priced at $2.99 this week. There also is a $1 extrabucks rewards deal on Ocean Spray juice this week, which is on sale for 2/$6. 64 oz. bottles of CVS' Gold Emblem juice also are on sale for $2.79 as well as Tropicana Orange Juice for $2.99. Kellogg's Breakfast Shakes also are on sale at CVS for $4.99. Kelloggs.com has a 2/$2 coupon for the shakes.

CVS also has some deals on coffee for those CVS shoppers who need a cup of coffee to start their days. Maxwell House in 30.6 and 34.5 oz. sizes are on sale for $6.99. Also on sale are several varieties of Gold Emblem coffee as well as Gold Emblem sweetener for $4.99. If you prefer sweetening your coffee and cereal with sugar, canister of Domino granulated sugar are on sale for 2/$6.

After eating breakfast, it would be time to brush one's teeth, and CVS once again has several oral care deals that will be the subject on the next edition of CVS Tips.

If you're getting $3 off $10 shave, deodorant, or oral care ExtraCare Coupon Center coupons...

...there are lots of ways to use it PLUS there also are online coupons with which it can be combined.

Listerine 1.5 liter, whitening rinse 32 oz., and Total Care or Ultraclean 1 liter are on sale along with 2.6-3 oz. Rembrandt toothpaste are on sale for $5.99 each. Buying two of them at a $11.98 total would allow you to use the $3 coupon, which would take you down to $8.98 for two items. But you can get an even lower price with $2 coupons on Coupons.com and on the CVS website on 1 liter or larger adult care Listerine products and on Rembrandt toothpaste. With $4 total in coupons, that would take you to $4.98 two of the featured products.

If you happen to prefer Colgate toothpaste over Rembrandt toothpaste, there is a $2 extrabucks rewards deal that can be repeated twice on Colgate Max 6.0 oz., Colgate Total 4-4.2 oz., or 2-in-1 4.6 oz. All are on sale for $2.99 each. Two tubes of toothpaste would be $5.98. With the $2 coupon for the Listerine and the $4 extrabucks rewards on two tubes of toothpaste AND the $3 coupon, it would be like getting $11.97 in oral care products for only $2.97!

An extrabucks rewards deal where the $3 coupon may be able to be used is the $2 extrabucks rewards deal on multipacks of  Crest, Fixodent, Glide, or Oral-B. The deal can be repeated twice, so if you do the deal two times you can get $4 in extrabucks rewards. Additionally, there are 50 cent coupons on Coupons.com and P&G Everyday for various varieties of Crest.

There are some Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off deals on oral care products where the $3 coupon could be used provided CVS customer buy enough of the featured products to get to $10. One of those deals is on Sensodyne twin packs or Pronamel rinse, and the other is on 78-120 ct. Polident tablets or 1.6-2.4 oz. Poligrip or 40 ct. Poligrip strips. There is a 75 cent coupon for Sensodyne on the Sensodyne website and a $1 coupon on the Pronamel site for the rinse. There are $1 coupons for Polident and Poligrip on the Policare website., and there is a $1 coupon for Polident on Save.com.

If you want to take advantage of the $10 extrabucks rewards deal on any Crest 3D Whitestrips, the $3 coupon would make it easier to do so.

As far as shaving items go, the $3 coupon would be helpful to use toward the Buy $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards on any Gillette shaving items and could be helpful if CVS shoppers buy enough Bic disposable shavers, which are buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off this week. There also is a $2 coupon on Coupons.com for the Bic Soleil Shave and Trim shaver.

There also isn't much as far as deals are concerned on deodorant this week, which is another item on which the $3 coupon can be used. If you bought three Axe deodorant/antiperspirants, which are on sale for 2/$9, you could use the $3 coupon and get 3/$10.50. Also, Mitchum/Lady Mitchum is on sale for $1.99, which makes it ideal to combine with a shaving or oral care purchase to get to $10.

Even though Dry Idea isn't on sale, there is a $3/2 coupon on Coupons.com and the CVS website as well. A Dry Idea purchase also would count toward the Buy $20, get $5 SavingStar deal on products from Henkel. At my CVS, Dry Idea sells for $4.29 or 2/$9. While the 2/$9 price isn't enough to use the $3 coupon toward, it could be combined with the $2 extrabucks rewards deal on Colgate. Since Colgate is on sale for $2.99, the total would be $11.99 for 2 Dry Idea deodorant/antiperspirants and one tube of Colgate. With the $3 coupon from the ExtraCare Coupon Center, the $3 coupon for two Dry Ideas, and the $2 extrabucks rewards on the toothpaste, it would be like purchasing all three for $3.99.

For CVS shoppers who buy CVS brands, there also is a Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off deal that includes CVS personal care products, so if you're stocking up on those, you could use the $3 coupon to get a better deal on a purchase of $10 or more of those items.

Be back Thursday to tell you about some more of this week's deal as well as letting you know what's on the horizon for next week.

P.S. When I first told you about the $3 off coupon for shaving, deodorant, and oral care items, I mistakenly told you that it could have been used last week toward the purchase of two Edge, Skintimate, or Schick shaving gels. I thought the price of one can was $5.79, but the actual price at my CVS was $3.79. Sorry for the confusion.

Exciting SavingStar deals for September!

While Henkel may not be a familiar brand name, I'm sure most of us are very familiar with brands that are part of the Henkel brand family, such as Dial, Purex and Combat.

And ... in case your storage closets are out of products in the Henkel brand family, now is a good time to get stocked up on those brands since there is a Buy $20, Get $5 SavingStar deal on Henkel products that runs until Oct. 30.

And ... SavingStar members can get extra money on Henkel brands in addition to the $5 on the following products:

$1 back on Purex Liquid or UltraPacks until 9/25
$1 back on Dial body wash until 10/5
$1 back on Tone body wash until 9/11
$1 back on Dry Idea until 9/6

And ... there will be Henkel items on sale at CVS next week. They are:

Purex liquid 24-33 loads or UltraPacks 18 ct.: Buy 1, Get 2 Free
Dial body wash 16 oz. or bar soap 8 pk.: $3.99
Got2b hair stylers (excluding freeze spray and trial sizes): 2/$8

Renuzit Adjustables: 99 cents

According to Sunday Coupon Preview, the RedPlum insert in Sunday newspapers will have a $1/2 coupon for Dial or Tone body wash, foaming hand soap, or 3+ bar packs and a Buy 3, Get 1 Free coupon on the Renuzit Adjustables.

But that's not all!

There will be a coupon available at the ExtraCare Coupon Center for $1.50 off on two cans of Progresso soup, which will be on sale for 2/$3. There will be a 50 cents/2 coupon for Progresso and a 25 cents/1 coupon for Progresso Light in one of the two SmartSource inserts in Sunday newspapers. Coupons.com also has a 50 cents/2 coupon for Progresso. If you go ahead and buy four cans of Progresso, you also can get $1 from SavingStar.

There are some other great SavingStar deals available, but I'll wait until there are corresponding deals at CVS to write about those. But I would suggest that if you are a SavingStar member or would like to become one to click on the SavingStar link above and check out and sign up for those deals. They can disappear really fast.

Coupons.com coupons make CVS weekly deals even better!

When I looked through this week's CVS weekly ad, I said "Nice!" as I viewed several of the items on sale. But there are some Coupons.com coupons that elevate those deal to beyond "nice".

There are several food coupons that make CVS deals this week even sweeter and more savory. One of those coupons is a $1.50/3 coupon for Hormel Compleats. On sale for 2/$4 this week, using the coupon would bring the price of three down to $4.50, which is close to a Buy 2, Get 1 free deal. Sticking with food, CVS also has 3.07-3.3 oz. Dove large chocolate bars on sale for 2/$2.98. With the $1/2 coupon available on Coupons.com, that price becomes 2/$1.98, which is less expensive than a regular-sized Dove chocolate bar at CVS!

The best CVS/Coupons.com deal I found for personal care is a Buy 1, Get 1 Free coupon for Edge
shaving gel. Additionally, CVS has a $2 extrabucks rewards deal on Edge, Skintimate, or Schick shaving gel. If this deal isn't good enough already, I got a $3 ExtraCare Coupon Center coupon for $3 off a $10 purchase of any shaving, deodorant, or oral care products. Since the shaving gel was priced at $5.79 at my CVS, buying two would put CVS customers over the $10 minimum purchase requirement!

Speaking of ExtraCare Coupon Center coupons, all ExtraCare members will receive a $1 coupon for any Procter & Gamble featured on Page 4 of the CVS weekly ad. One of the featured deals is a Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent deal on Crest Pro-Health and Glide Floss products. Coupons.com has a a $1 coupon for Crest Pro-Health rinse 1L or larger and a 50 cent coupon for Crest Pro-Health toothpaste 4.0 oz. or larger. There also is a $1 extrabucks rewards deal on 12.6 oz. Pantene shampoo or conditioner or 5.7 to 11.5 oz. styler, which are 2/$7 this week. Paired with the $2/2 coupon available on Coupons.com, the $1 coupon from the ExtraCare Coupon Center, and the $1 extrabucks rewards, two Pantene products would be 2/$3. The CVS weekly ad said that there was a $3/2 coupon in the P&G brandSAVER insert in Sunday's paper. If that coupon were used instead of the one from Coupons.com, the net price would go down even further to 2/$2!

Will be back next time with some SavingStar deals that can be profitable later in the month!

Smorgasbord of CVS Savings...

...and an apology.

When I wrote about getting a $4 off a $12 cosmetics purchase from the ExtraCare Coupon Center recently, I neglected to look to see if any of the one I got were still good. None of them were. However, on my trip to CVS on Sunday, I got another one. Hope all of my readers have been blessed with ones as well if they have been to CVS to see what the magical ExtraCare Coupon Center has.

While I'm on the subject, I'll pass along a ExtraCare Coupon Center trick I've learned. The first time you go into a CVS during a week, you will get the standard coupons everyone gets. but if you scan your ExtraCare card right after you get the standard coupons, chances are you'll get even more coupons. That how I got my $4 off a $12 Cosmetics purchase coupon. Also, if you go online on Monday to check your ExtraCare account, you can see what coupons are waiting for you at the ExtraCare Coupon Center. Sometimes more are added on Thursdays.

Back to deals. Whether or not you got the $4 off a $12 cosmetics, there are some good extrabucks rewards deals on cosmetics this week. One is a Buy $10, Get $5 extrabucks rewards on Milani cosmetics, and another is a Buy $10, Get $6 extrabucks rewards on Physician Formula cosmetics. To get $3 in extrabucks rewards on Kiss or Broadway artificial nails, CVS shoppers have to spend only $7 on either of those brands. In case you haven't been to CVs this week, there was a surprise coupon good for 20 percent off of all regularly priced items, which can be used on all of these deals. Additionally, I got a 25 percent off of all regularly priced items coupon in my email yesterday.

There are other cosmetics deals at CVS for which there are online coupons available. Those are a Buy $12, Get $4 extrabucks rewards on L'Oreal face, eye and lip cosmetics and a Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off offer on Covergirl lip or Outlast nail. Save.com has a $1 coupon on L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Original Lipstick or L'Oreal Paris lip product, and the L'Oreal Paris USA website also has a $1 coupon good on any L'Oreal product. The P&G everyday site has coupons so CVS shoppers can to save even more money on Covergirl lip and Outlast nail products. On the site is a $1.50 coupon for Covergirl nail polish and a $1 coupon for Covergirl lip gloss.

CVS has another $5 Classroom Gift Card deal with the purchase of the $20 of featured items. Among the eligible items this week are any Post-It products, Scotch mailing supplies or tape. All are Buy One, Get One 50 percent off. The Scotch Brand website has a number of coupons that can be used on this deal.

If you're out of cereal, CVS has 9-12.5 oz. boxes of Rice Krispies, Cocoa Krispies, Corn Flakes, and Corn Pops, as well as 8 ct. boxes of Rice Krispies Treats for $1.99. Save.com has a $1 coupon good on two boxes of any Kellogg's cereal 8.7 oz. or larger. There also is a Buy $8.97, Get $2 extrabucks rewards deal on 5-12 ct. General Mills or Nature Valley bars, 11.75-16.2 oz. Fiber One, 10.6 oz. Total, 12.8 oz. Rice Chex, or 6-10ct. Scooby-Doo or Fruit Gushers. coupons.com has a 50 cent/2 coupon for the Fruit Gushers, a 50 cent coupon for Nature Valley Soft-Baked Oatmeal Squares, a 50 cent/2 coupon on Nature Valley Granola Bars, a 50 cent coupon on Fiber One bars, and a 50 cent coupon on Fiber One protein bars.

Finally, all CVS Shoppers will get a $1.49 coupon to use on two single rolls of Charmin., which makes the final price on the two rolls only 50 cents. If you would happen to have the 25 cent coupon from the August P&G brandSAVER, there is a 25 cent coupon in it that can be used on the deal as well.

Hope everyone has a great Labor Day weekend.

If you got a $4 off $12 cosmetics ExtraCare Coupon Center coupon last week...

...there are several extrabucks rewards deals on which it will save you even more money this week.

If you buy just Sally Hansen cosmetics on the Buy $12, Get $5 extrabucks rewards deal on Sally Hansen cosmetics or hair removal products, the coupon will save you and extra $4. If you are a CVS Beauty Club member, you probably got a $2 off any Sally Hansen product in your email earlier in the week, which would make a total of $11 of savings on Sally Hansen cosmetics.

CVS also has a Buy $15, Get $5 extrabucks rewards deal on L'Oreal foundation, blush, concealer, powder, nail, and eye products. In addition to the $4 cosmetics coupon from CVS, the L'Oreal Paris site has a $1 coupon that can be used on the deal as well.

If you buy $12 worth of any Almay cosmetics for the Buy $10, Get $4 extrabucks rewards deal on Almay products, you could use the $4 CVS cosmetics toward that deal as well.

There are three other Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off deals on cosmetics at CVS as well, and with a $12 purchase of those items, you could use the $4 CVS cosmetics coupon for additional savings. One is on Covergirl foundation, powder, blush, concealer or lip products. Coupons.com has a $1 coupon for Covergirl Clean Whipped Crème foundation and another $1 coupon for Lipslicks Smoochies lip balm. Another is for all L'Oreal lip products. In addition to the $1 coupon available on the L'Oreal Paris website, Save.com has a $1 coupon for L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche Original Lipstick or any other L'Oreal Paris lip product. Finally, all Rimmel products are Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off.

And I cannot leave without giving my usual reminder that if you received a 25 percent coupon off all regular priced items in your email today, that also can be used this weekend on any extrabucks rewards deal where the items are regularly priced!

Good time to stock up on Revlon eye and lip products!

CVS has select Revlon eye and lip products for $6.99 this week with a $4 extrabucks rewards that can be used up to six times.

The same day I saw that deal in the online preview of this week's circular, I went to CVS and got a coupon for $4 off of a $12 or more cosmetics purchase from the ExtraCare Coupon Center. Since the Revlon extrabucks reward can be repeated up to six times, you can use the coupon toward the purchase of two Revlon eye or lip products, which means the cosmetic items would be 99 cents apiece after extrabucks rewards. I also had gotten a $3 coupon a couple of weeks ago that is good on any Revlon cosmetics purchase.

So if you also got one of the $3 Revlon coupons and still have it, you can make some money on this week's deal:

Two Revlon eye or lip items @ $6.99 = $13.98
Minus the $4 off $12 cosmetics coupon =$9.98
Minus the $3 Revlon coupon=$6.98
Minus 2 extrabucks rewards coupons @ $4=-$1.02

If you are in need of Revlon cosmetics other than lip or eye items, all Revlon cosmetics will be part of a Buy $20, Get $5 extrabucks rewards or Buy $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal next week. Additionally, all Revlon cosmetics will be Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off. Waiting for me at the ExtraCare Coupon Center is a $3 off any Revlon Face Cosmetics (including foundation, powder, and blush). Coupons.com also has a $2 coupon for any Revlon foundation, powder, blush, BB cream, concealer, or primer.

This extrabucks rewards also will include:

Scott bathroom tissue 12-18 pk.: $7.44
Scott Choose-A-Sheet paper towels 6 pk.: $4.99
Any Huggies diapers, Pull-Ups, or GoodNites jumbo pk.: $8.99
Select Kleenex tissue: 3/$4
Ice Mountain natural spring water 16.9 oz. 24 pk.: $3.44
M&Ms 9.9-12.6 oz.: 2/$6

Coupons.com has a $1.50 coupon on Huggies Snug & Dry diapers, a $2 coupon on Huggies Little Movers slip-on diapers, and a $2 coupon of GoodNites underwear.

There also are some other extrabucks rewards cosmetics deals this week where the $4 off of a $12 purchase would be helpful. Be back shortly with a separate post on those.

Lysol disinfectant spray 19 oz. or wipes 80 ct.: 2/$10

Hefty OneZip or Ziploc: 2/$6
Select Aladdin or Smart Planet food storage: 25 percent off regular retail
Cheez-It, Keebler Club, or Nabisco cookies or crackers 3.8-7 oz.: 3/$4

SavingStar members can get a 3 percent discount on Elmer's Glue as well as $1.25 on the purchase of three boxes of Ziploc bags. Coupons.com has a $1/3 coupon for the Ziploc bags as well.

Ziploc also is a partner with Recyclebank, and specially marked packages have codes that you can enter on the site to earn points to be used on various rewards. One of those rewards is a $5 CVS gift card for 1,500 points. Although the point value sounds intimidating, it's easy to earns hundred of points in a short time by doing fun activities and watching short videos related to recycling.

BIC is currently running a an instant win game on Facebook where participants can win prizes by writing about what they like about the back-to-school season. BUT if you don't win instantly, you get a $1.50/2 coupon for any two BIC products. You can play the game once a day to get more coupons. But if you end up winning something, you no longer are allowed to participate in the game. I won a BIC Velocity pen last year and absolutely fell in love with it.

Lysol has 50 cent coupons on its website for the disinfectant spray and the disposable wipes.

Kellogg's Raisin Bran and Frosted Flakes are pictured in the CVS ad as eligible family size cereals, and Coupons.com has a $1/3 coupon that can be used on those two Kellogg's cereals. Also, the Kellogg's website has a $1/2 coupon for Kellogg's Raisin Bran.

If it's hard to decide what to buy, this deal can be repeated twice in one week. I may end up doing that myself when I shop at CVS this weekend. Be back later this week with beauty deals.

Monday, August 19, 2013

If you buy a lot of CVS brand products...

...this is a good week to shop at CVS!

The ExtraCare Coupon Center is dispensing a $3 off a $10 purchase of any CVS products. AND there are some extrabucks rewards on which this coupon can be used.

I used mine of the Buy $10, Get $3, Buy $20, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal on select CVS beauty products. AND not only did I get the $3 off coupon on $10 CVS products yesterday, but when I scanned my card again after I got that coupon, I got a $2 off 2 CVS body wash or bar soap coupon and a $1 off coupon on CVS cotton balls/rounds/squares or nail polish remover. I also used my 25 percent off coupon on regular priced items I got in the mail and picked up a newspaper. When I used all of those coupons, along with a $5 extrabucks rewards coupon, I got everything for 93 cents and the $3 in extrabucks rewards. Later on in the week, I plan to spend $10 more on those products so I can get an extra $7 back. I am waiting to see if CVS issues a percentage off coupon on regular prices later on in the week before I buy any more on this deal.

CVS shoppers looking for a deal on baby products can take advantage of the Buy $12, Get 2 or Buy $20, Get $5 extrabucks rewards on select CVS baby items. They include:

CVS baby shampoo, wash, detangler, lotion, powder, or oil: Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off
CVS wipes, diapers, or baby formula: Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off
Select CVS cotton swabs: Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off

Since these are sale priced, they wouldn't be eligible for an extra percentage off coupon if CVS decided to issue one of those this week.

I believe that Caliber is a CVS brand, which means that the $3 off of a $10 purchase of CVS products could be used toward the Buy $20, Get a $5 Classroom Gift Card if that is the case. All Caliber home and office supplies are one of the many items eligible for the deal, and they are Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off.

I have found some other coupons and other ways to earn money on the Classroom Gift Card. I'll tell about those later this week.

Saturday, August 10, 2013

Next week's extrabucks rewards deals are odd...

...but they could work out for more savings for CVS customers.

When I looked at the preview online of next week's CVS weekly ad, I was puzzled by some of the combinations of items that were put together for extrabucks rewards deals. For instance, there is a Buy $20, Get a $5 Classroom CVS gift card deal. While most of the items are back-to-school related, some of them take a stretch of the imagination to see their relationship to going back to school.

Here are the items:

Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off all Caliber home and office supplies
Backpack or lunch carriers
Buy 1, Get 1 Free all Georgia-Pacific MultiPurpose paper 500 sheets
Buy 1 Get 1 Free Pilot G2 pens in black or fashion colors 5 pk.
Buy 1 Get 1 Free Bic Cristal Bold pens, Wite-Out tape, or Wite-Out quick dry fluid
3M Command Damage-Free Hanging hooks, fastener strips, felt or rubber pads: 2/$7
Dove 3.07-3.33 oz. chocolate bars: 2/$2.98
Dove Promises bonus size 8.5-11 oz.: 2/$6
Oreo, Lorna Doone, Wheat Thins, Triscuit, Chicken in a Biskit, or Better Cheddars: 2/$5
Buy 1, Get 1 Free Nestea Lemon Tea 16.9 oz. 12 pk. or Perrier slim cans 8.54 oz. 10 pk.

I was able to locate a couple of  coupons that could be used on this deal:

$1 off 2 bags of Dove Chocolate Promises 8.0-9.5 oz.
50 cents off Command hooks

Also, according to Sunday Coupon Preview, the SmartSource coupon insert in Sunday newspapers will have a coupon for 75 cents/2 on Nabisco cookie or cracker products 6.5 oz or larger, which will help out with the cookies and crackers featured in this deal.

I could see the food products going into a child's lunch, but not the 3+ oz. Dove chocolate bars. Perhaps those are for bribing teachers. On the other hand, CVS customers who don't have children going back to school are able to take advantage of the food portion of the deal whereas if there were no food items linked to this deal, that group of customers would have to pass this deal by.

There are two back-to-school extrabucks rewards deals that feature more traditional back-to-school items. Those are:

Buy $10, Get $3 extrabucks rewards Five Star 1, 2, 3 or 5-subject notebooks: Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off
Buy $10, Get $3 extrabucks rewards Expo dry erase markers 4 ct. or Paper Mate pens 10 ct.: Buy 1 Get 1 Free

There is a $1/2 coupon on SmartSource good for any 2 Five Star products.

There are some other extrabucks rewards deals in the next CVS weekly ad that have some odd product combinations. While you're checking those out for yourselves with the link in the previous sentence, I'll search the web for coupons you can use for those deals.
