Should have read the coupon before I wrote my previous fragrance post

In a previous post, I mentioned the $15 off of a $35 purchase fragrance coupon from the CVS Beauty Club I received by email. I should have opened the coupon prior to writing the blog, because the offer is valid only on Halle, Beyonce, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Jovan, L' Air Du Temps, Nautica, Nina Ricci, Playboy, Stetson, Coty Wild Musk.

The problem is that the largest bottle of some of these fragrances I saw at my local CVS are priced below $35. For instance, the largest bottles of Beyonce fragrances I saw were priced at $34.49. To be able to use the coupon, you can take advantage today of the Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent deal on fragrances $12.99 and above and buy a smaller bottle of Beyonce fragrances and get the smaller one at half price. Then you can use the coupon to get $15 off of both fragrances.

However, if you decide to use the coupon tomorrow, you would have to use a different strategy. Although there will be a Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off deal on fragrances on Sunday and Monday, it applies to fragrances $19.99 and above. At my local CVS, the smaller bottles of the Beyonce fragrances go for $19.49. which makes them ineligible to buy at half price along with a larger bottle of Beyonce. However, since they are under the $19.99 price, you can buy two bottles at $19.49 and be able to use the $15 coupon.

But if you don't want to try to figure out all of the ins and outs for the $15 coupon, fragrance sets go on sale tomorrow for 33 percent off. However, I remember getting a fragrance set for 50 percent off after Christmas, so you might want to wait until after Christmas to get a bargain price on one.

The ExtraCare Coupon Center is spitting out hair care coupons!

Note: This has been corrected to say that the coupon for the shampoo, conditioner, or styling products (excluding salon products) was for $1 off of 2 products. The previous version said it was $1 off of shampoo, conditioner, or styling products (excluding salon products). CVS Tips

I always love it when the ExtraCare Coupon Center spits out coupons that I am able to use. This week I received a $1 off coupon for 2 shampoo, conditioner, or styling products (excluding salon products) and a $1 off coupon on hair color.

The CVS weekly ad has several deals on which these coupons would come in handy. There are extrabucks rewards deals on Pantene and the Ever line of L'Oreal hair products. If you buy three Pantene shampoo, conditioner  or styling products, for $14, you will get $3 in extrabucks rewards. If you would get the $1 off coupon for shampoo, conditioner, or styling products, it would be like getting them for 3/$10. If you buy 2 products form the L'Oreal Ever line, you will get $5 in extrabucks rewards. The L'Oreal Ever shampoos and conditioners were priced at $6.99 apiece at my local CVS. Additionally, if you are a member of MyL'Oreal on the L'Oreal Paris USA site, you can get a $1 coupon to use on any Ever product. Adding the $1 off coupon for shampoo, conditioner, or styling products would bring the savings to $7, which would be like buying the shampoo and getting the conditioner for free.

Speaking of a Buy 1 Get 1 Free deal on shampoo and conditioner, if you buy Clear shampoo, you can get the conditioner for free. While I couldn't find a coupon for a regular sized bottle of Clear shampoo to use along with the $1 off coupon for shampoo, conditioner, or styling products, there is a coupon on the CVS website for a free sample bottle of the nourishing variety. While that can't be used to get the conditioner, the sample bottle would be handy for travel purposes.

There also are a few Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off deals on shampoo, conditioner, and styling products in this week's CVS ad. They are for Fx, Organix hair care; Neutrogena shampoo or conditioner; and Shea Moisture hair care. Additionally, all TRESemme products are on sale for $3.99, and Pantene Expert shampoo and conditioner are on sale for $7.99.

As far as hair color is concerned, all L'Oreal Hair Color is on sale for Buy 1, Get One 50 percent off. The $3 coupons for Feria and Preference are still available on the CVS website, and the same coupons are available on There is a $2 coupon for Healthy Look available to MyL'Oreal members on the L'Oreal Paris USA website. If you complete a Can I Help You consultation, you can get a $1 coupon good for any L'Oreal product.

The price of L'Oreal Feria at my local CVS is $9.99, and L'Oreal Preference sells for $9.49. Two boxes of L'Oreal Feria would be $14.99, and two boxes of L'Oreal Preference would be $14.24. If you two $3 coupons for Feria or Preference, that would take the price to $8.99 and $8.24 respectively. The CVS $1 off on hair color coupon would get the prices down to $7.99 and $7.24 for two boxes of Feria and Preference respectively.

You can also use the CVS $1 off on hair color coupon on Revlon ColorSilk hair color at 2/$6.99 and Clairol Nice 'n Easy hair color at $7.99.

Since I've lost my connection twice while writing this, it's probably a good idea to wrap up this post. More than likely, my next post will be on Saturday. Have a wonderful Friday!

Buy $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards on diapers, Gillette products

CVS is making it easier to buy presents for little ones this holiday season by running a Get $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal on Pampers and Huggies Jumbo Pack diapers and 168-216 count wipes.
The diapers are on sale for $2/20, and the wipes are $2/12.

$2 off coupons on a single package of Pampers diapers are still available in the coupon section of the CVS website as well as on also has $2 coupons for Huggies Little Mover Slip-On diapers and $1.50 coupons for any Huggies diaper. Both the CVS website and have 50 cent coupons for Pampers wipes 60-ct or larger.

The Huggies website has 50-cent wipes coupons good on Huggies wipes. It also has the same $1.50 coupons for Huggies Little Mover Slip-On diapers as as well as $2 coupons for Huggies Snug & Dry Diapers. If you are able to wait until this weekend to make you Huggies diaper purchase and haven't completed the Easy On, Easy Off Challenge, you can get a $3 for Huggies by checking in five times through the promotion tab.

Anyone who uses Gillette shaving products can get $10 extrabucks rewards with a purchase of $30 worth of Gillette shaving products. Both men's and women's products are included in the offer, and the offer includes Gillette shaving cream as well.

One was to use the extrabucks rewards you receive from one or both deals is on the upcoming Buy $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal on Procter & Gamble products that always comes up at CVS on the last Sunday of the month. If you did both the baby products and the Gillette shaving products deals this week, you could use the $20 in extrabucks rewards on Procter & Gamble products included in the upcoming deal
Since the Procter and Gamble coupon circular comes out on the same day as the Procter & Gamble Buy $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal, you can get coupons to use toward that deal as well in addition to using the $20 in extrabucks rewards you could earn this week.

Additionally, if you still have any coupons left from this month's Procter & Gamble December circular, you can use those for the Procter & Gamble Buy $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal until Dec. 31. There also were coupons for Pampers and Gillette products included in that circular which could be used on this week's Buy $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deals.

Get three greeting cards for as little as 97 cents (after coupons and extrabucks rewards)

While looking through this week's CVS ad, the $3 extrabucks rewards deal on three Anderican Greetings cards $1.99 and over caught my eye as something I might act on. However, when I was looking in the Deals section of the CVS website, I found a link to a coupon for $2 off of three American Greetings cards. If you buy three greeting cards at the $1.99 price ($5.97) and use the coupon, it would be like getting the three cards for 97 cents after the $3 extrabucks rewards.

This would be a good deal for anyone needing greeting cards that hold gift cards. Those usually run in the $1.99 range, and the cards would be less than the postage to send the gift cards off to friends and family far away.

Speaking of gift cards, there is a Buy $50, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal on Gap, Baby Gap, Old Navy, and Banana Republic gift cards that ends on Saturday. Not only would these make great gifts, but if you shop at any of these stores on a regular basis, it would be a way to put aside some money to shop at one of these stores for the after-holiday sales and save $10 on a future purchase at CVS.

Since it is the 15th and the last day for quarterly and double quarterly extrabucks rewards, I'm headed to CVS to make one last shopping run to boost the extrabucks rewards I'll get back on Jan 1st.

Saw 50 and 75 percent off stickers on cosmetics at CVS!

On the way home from work last evening, I stopped by CVS to print out coupons from the ExtraCare Coupon Center that showed up in my ExtraCare account on the CVS website. While I was there, I strolled through the cosmetics area and saw lots of 50 percent and 75 percent on cosmetics items.

While those items aren't eliguble on extrabucks deals, you can use manufacturer's coupons on them and get some steals. Additionally, CVS Beauty Club members can the $4 off of any $20 beauty purchase coupons that CVS sent out earlier this week as well.

I noticed that many shades of Revlon nail polish had 75 percent stickers on them.  With the normal price for Revlon Colorstay is $7.99, and the price for Revlon Top Speed is $5.99 at my local CVS, shades that are marked at 75 percent off would be roughly $2 and $1.50 respectively. In comparison, Revlon nail polishes not on clearance are on sale for $4.99, and with a $3 extrabucks rewards, it would be like getting those for $1.99. While the price per bottle would roughly be the same for clearance Revlon Colorstay and 50 cents less per bottle for clearance Top Speed, you can get more clearance bottles for the same money out of pocket than you can with the $3 extrabucks rewards deal. Additionally, there is a limit of six purchases on the $3 extrabucks rewards deal.

On the other hand, clearance polishes generally are shades that haven't sold well, so if none of the clearance shades are appealing, buying a polish with the extrabucks rewards deal would be the better way to go.

Before I go, I would like to reiterate a reminder I made in a previous post. CVS Beauty Club totals go back to zero on Jan 1, 2013.  If you are close to getting a $5 in extrabiucks rewards, it might be a good time to stock up on products that are eligible for CVS Beauty Club rewards. But if you have a long way to go to get to another $5 in extrabiucks rewards, you might want to hold off on beauty purchases until the begining of the new year. After all, quarterly extrabucks rewrds, as well as the the double quartlerly extrabucks rewards, will be available on January 1, 2013, so you will have some extrabucks rewards to use on beauty purchases.

It's extrabucks rewards time on Revlon nail polish and select lipsticks

Next week, CVS shoppers once again can get $3 extrabucks rewards on any Revlon nail polish and $4 extrabucks rewards on Revlon Super Lustrous and ColorBurst lip products. This type of sale is the one time you should buy Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick from CVS, and this sale coincides with a topic I had planned to talk about in a post.

There was a post on the CVS Facebook page that claimed that CVS overcharges it customers on products and then gives customers the overcharge back in extrabucks rewards. While I didn't get a chance to read the article that was included with the post, I decided to do some price comparisons at Walmart with products I buy on a regular basis to see if there was any validity to the claim. I expected the everyday Walmart prices to be lower than everyday prices at CVS, but since I generally buy items when they are on sale at CVS, I could live with regular prices at Walmart being roughly the same as sale prices at CVS. On most of the products I looked at, I found that to be the case.

But when I compared the Walmart and CVS prices of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick, I was stunned. The regular price of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick at my local CVS is $8.99, but it sells for only $4.97 at my local Walmart. Even if you purchased two lipsticks this week at CVS with the Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off deal on all Revlon makeup this week, each tube of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick would still come out to be roughly $6.75 per tube ($8.99 + $4.50 = $13.49 / 2 = $6.745). It would be a worse deal to buy two tubes of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick at CVS with a Buy $10, Get $4 extrabucks rewards deal that CVS runs regularly on Revlon cosmetics ($8.99 x 2 = $17.98 - $4.00 = $13.98 / 2 = $6.99).

So even with the $4 extrabucks rewards on Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick priced at $6.99 next week, you're actually saving only $1.98 over the everyday $4.97 price at Walmart ($4.97 - $2.99 = $1.98.

To be fair, I didn't figure in the 10 percent that CVS Beauty Club members would recoup from this week's sale price (Buy $50, Get $5 extrabucks rewards) or the 2 percent that CVS shoppers get on all of their purchases. I'm not sure if this would be accurate, but I took 12 percent of $6.99 and got roughly 84 cents (.8388). And added to the $1.98, you would save $2.82 over the $4.97 price on a tube of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick at Walmart. Additionally, with the higher prices paid with the Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off and Buy $10, Get $4 extraubucks rewards deals, the 10 percent and 2 percent figures would be higher with those deals.

The good news is that there you can get the $4 extrabucks rewards deal on Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick or Revlon ColorBurst six times. If you got a $4 off of $20 of beauty purchases coupon this week for being a CVS Beauty Club member and use the coupon before it expires on the 17th, you could use it toward three tubes of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick to meet the $20 purchase requirement for the coupon.

There are some significant differences between the prices of Revlon nail polish at Walmart and CVS, but all of the math I did concerning the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick is making my head spin, so I will coment on that at a later time. Will come back refreshed with another post (or posts) some time this weekend.

Great time to stock up on Advil, Robitussin, and Dimetapp @ CVS

I really need to get a new pair of glasses. Even though I had planned to write about this deal today, I hadn't seen all the positives of the Buy 2, Get $3 extrabucks rewards deal on Advil, Robitussin, and Dimetapp products in this week's CVS ad the first time I looked at it.

All of the products in the deal are on sale for $4.99. The coupon section of the CVS website has several $1 coupons that can be used on products in this deal. The coupons are for any size Advil, any size Advil Congestion Relief, or Robutussin 20-count Cold + Flu. has the same coupons as those on the CVS website, and there is no limit to the number of coupons you can print from there. The Advil, Children's Advil and Robutussin websites have $1 coupons good on their products. The Dimetapp site has a $2 coupon that can be used on any of its products. If you used just $1 coupons on each of two products, it would be like a Buy One, Get One Free deal after using the coupons and getting the $3 extrabucks rewards.

The reason why I mentioned that you can print an unlimited number of coupons from is that there you can repeat this extrabucks rewards deal five times. That way you can either stock up on one of these items or get a variety of them. Also, if you plan to make multiple trips to CVS this week, you can buy two of the items on your first shopping trip and use the $3 extrabucks rewards earned on your first trip toward the the purchase of two more of the products and get another $3 in extrabucks rewards on a subsequent trip to CVS.

I know that I plan to take advantage of this deal when I get paid on Friday. I jokingly refer to Advil as one of my food groups, and my last Advil bottle is close to being empty.

Deals on Honey Nut Cheerios, Trix, and Air Wick

While I was hoping the beginning of December would bring as many multiple purchase deals on SavingStar as there were in November, that hasn't turned out to be the case. However, SavingStar does have two rebates that match up with deals featured in this week's CVS ad.

General Mills cereals, including Honey Nut Cheerios and Trix, are on sale at CVS for 2/$5 this week. Both cereals have 50-cent rebates on SavingStar as well as 50-cent coupons in the CVS coupon section of the website, which would make the final price of those cereals $1.50 each.

Also featured in the weekly CVS ad is a Buy $12, Get $4 extrabucks rewards on select Lysol, Air Wick, and Finish products. When I signed up for the Air Wick Fragrant Homes Club, I received a $2/2 any Air Wick products (excluding aerosols, Stick Ups, and solids). I then received a coupon for $1.50/2 any Air Wick products (excluding aerosols, Stick Ups, and solids) in my email. Fortunately, none of those are among the items featured in the Buy $12, Get $4 extrabucks rewards deal.

The $2 coupon could be used for Air Wick candles, which are sale for $6. Since buying two of those would meet the purchase requrement for the $4 extrabucks rewards, it would be like buying one candle for $6 and getting one free. If you have an Air Wick scented oil warmer, you could use both the $2/2 and the $1.50/2 coupons on five single scented oil refills, which are on sale for 2/$5. Five refills would cost $12.50, and with the $3.50 in coupons and the $4 extrabucks rewards, it would be the equivalent of buying 5 scented oil refills for the price of two.

See you tomorrow with deals on over the counter medicine.

Check your email for a $4 off $20 Beauty Club purchase

One of the benefits I enjoy about being a member of the CVS Beauty Club is getting special coupons at unexpected times, such as the $4 off of $20 in beauty purchases that came through my mail today.

The $4 coupon would make the Sally Hansen insta gel starter kit featured in the CVS weekly ad more affordable. Even with $3 extrabucks rewards being offered for the starter kit, it's priced at $29.99 at my CVS store. If you already own one, there is a link for a limited supply $5 coupon for the strips on the Sally Hansen Facebook page. Since the $3 extrabucks reward is good either on the kit or the strips, you would save $8 with the coupon and the extrabucks rewards. Since the strips are $14.99, you can't use the $4 off of $20 in beauty purchases coupon on just that beauty purchase, but you would need only $5.01 in beauty purchases to use the $4 coupon.

If there's nothing in this week's CVS ad that suits your beauty fancy, the $4 off of $20 in beauty purchases is good until Dec. 17, so you can use it next week. However, the CVS double extrabucks promotion ends on Saturday, so that might be something to consider.

Additionally, CVS Beauty Rewards purchase totals go back to zero on Jan. 1, 2013. You might want to check you CVS Beauty Rewards totals either on you next CVS receipt or online to see if it might be worthwhile to make some beauty purchases before Dec. 31.

L'Oreal Preference or Feria for under $5 (with coupon). Ends today!

I just saw $3 coupons for both L'Oreal Preference and L'Oreal Feria on This week's CVS ad features either L'Oreal hair color for $7.99, which would make the final cost $4.99. If you sign up for the Gold Rewards program on the L'Oreal Paris USA site, you can get a free box of L'Oreal hair color with every five purchased.

Writing about this deal reminds me that my hair needs to be colored this evening. But before I go, I have a clarification of a CVS deal I mentioned in yesterday's CVS Tips. I discussed a $2 extrabucks rewards deal on Color Theory gift sets that starts tomorrow. The $2 extrabucks rewards deal is good only on the $9.99 sets.

CVS deals not to miss and those to wait on until Sunday

Parents of infants: you can get $4 in extrabucks rewards when you buy Jumbo Packs of Pampers for $9.99. To help out with that purchase even further, the CVS website has a coupon for $2 off on Pampers diapers.

For parents of infants that prefer Huggies, the Big Packs are on sale for $19.99. There is a $2 coupon for the Little Movers variety and a $1.50 coupon on the Snug & Dry variety on the Huggies website. The Huggies Jumbo Packs will be on sale for 2/$19 next week. I did some math on this deal. Even if you were able to use two $2 coupons next week on the Snug & Dry variety, you still would be sightly ahead by buying the Big Pack this week and have 10 more diapers to boot (72 versus 62).

While you're at CVS and thinking about taking advantage of the Buy $25, Get $5 extrabucks rewards deal on toys in this week's CVS ad, it would be better to wait until next week when toys are Buy 1, Get One 50 percent off. I'm holding out hope, though, that CVS will repeat the Buy 1, Get 1 Free deal they had for Black Friday.

There also are some beauty deals that will be better if you until Sunday to take advantage of them. This week's CVS ad features some Color Theory sets, but there will be a $2 extrabucks rewards deal on the $9.99 sets starting on Sunday. There also will be a $10 extrabucks rewards deal on Heidi Klum, JLo, Beyonce, Faith Hill, Celine Dion, Calvin Klein, Antonio Banderas, Nautica and Closer by Halle Berry fragrance sets that are priced from $19.99 to $29.99 starting then as well.

Will be back tomorrow and/or Sunday with more CVS Tips!

How I got a 100-ct bottle of Centrum Silver for $1.99

On Sunday I got a $5 coupon for select 100-count Centrum adult vitamins. While I felt that was a good enough deal to make me think about trying them, the coupon also said to check Sunday's paper for an additional Centrum coupon.

I was surprised the coupon would say that. I once tried to cash in a CVS and a manufacturer's coupon for the same item and was told I could not do that. However, if a CVS coupon was for a general category, such as vitamins, I could use it with a manufacturer's coupon for a specific product, such as Centrum vitamins. But I checked the CVS website, and it said you can use one CVS and one manufacturer's coupon per item.

When I got home, I found the Centrum coupon in my Sunday paper. It is for $3 off Centrum regular, Silver multivitamins, or Flavor Burst Chews. There is also a coupon for $5 off Centrum Specialist multivitamins. In case you didn't get Sunday's paper, there is a $3 coupon for Centrum Silver available on the Centrum website. There also is an offer for a sample of Centrum Flavor Burst Chews on the site.

There is a deal in the CVS weekly ad on select varieties of Centrum vitamins of varying counts for $9.99, and Centrum Silver was one of them. Becuase the ad said 60-125 count bottles of Centrum Silver, I wasn't sure I would find a 100-ct. bottle, but I did!

In addition, the purchase was a cent shy of meeting the $10 minimum purchase requirement to take advantage of yesterday's Deal of the Day, which was a free 6-pack of Vitamin Water. Since I also needed milk, and there is a $1 extrabucks rewards offer on it this week, I picked up a gallon.

Even though the CVS coupon inferred that I could use both the manufacturer's coupon and the CVS coupon simultaneously, I was afraid I couldn't, so I told the cashier my concern. But as the CVS coupon said, I was able to use both coupons! I also had enough extrabucks rewards on me to pay for $1.99 I owed for the vitamins and my milk, so all I owed was about $1.60 in tax, which was partially compensated by the $1 extrabucks rewards I got on the milk.

Thanks, CVS, for the opportunity to get vitamins for such a low price!

Get bags of Hershey's holiday candy for under $1 (after coupons and extrabucks rewards)

Lovers of Hershey's candy have a wide variety of ways to get $3 extrabucks rewards on Hershey's candy this week. But instead of spending $10 on four 7.8 to 8.5 ounce bags of Hershey's holiday candy to earn the extrabucks rewards, you need to spend only $6.90 if you use two coupons that are available online. And after the $3 extrabucks rewards, the four bags would come to $3.90, which is less than $1 a bag.

The Hershey's site has a coupon for $2/2 bags. The coupon can be used only once. However, has a coupon for $1.10/2 bags, and has no limit on the number of coupons you can print from their site. Since this $3 extrabucks reward can be earned twice, you could get a second extrabucks reward by using two $1.10/2 coupons from and spend only $7.80 for the second $3 extrabucks rewards deal. After the $3 in extrabucks rewards, the four bags for the second deal would come to $4.80, which is $1.20 a bag. While eight bags of holiday candy might be overkill for many, the Hershey's site has holiday craft ideas using Hershey's Kisses and Reese's holiday candy. These crafts would be a fun family activity for little money. I know when I was little, I always enjoyed making holiday decorations with my mother.

In case you were able to get a two-page coupon paper flyer that was available at CVS a few weeks ago, that flyer had a coupon for $2/2 bags of Hershey's Kisses, which could be used on this deal as well.

Tomorrow's deal involves a really good deal on Centrum Specialist vitamins that utilizes a coupon from the ExtraCare Coupon Center, so if you go to the ExtraCare Coupon Center, make sure to look for a Centrum Specialist coupon.

Beauty deal to take advantage of today (and one you should hold off on)

When I saw the $5 extrabucks rewards deal on any L'Oreal foundation, powder, blush or concealer in the present week's flyer, I didn't pay much attention to it. However, as I walked down the beauty aisle a couple of day ago, I realized what a good deal it was. I saw L'Oreal True Match for $10.99, so with the $5 extrabucks reward, it would be close to half price. Also, if you have a 20 percent off coupon to use this weekend, you could use it for this purchase because the items aren't on sale. Applying the 20 percent off coupon would make the deal even better.

As I mentioned previously, if you are a member of myL'Oreal, you can always go to the site and get coupons there. Although there aren't any coupons for any of the products listed above, you can get a $1 coupon good for any L'Oreal product by going through a "Can I Help You?" beauty questionnare/consultaiton of your choice. At the end, there will be a link to a coupon good for any L'Oreal product.

While there also is a Buy 1, Get One 50% off deal on L'Oreal skin care products this week, there is a Buy $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards deal on L'Oreal skin care products starting Sunday. There also will be a Buy $12, Get $4 extrabucks rewards deal on all L'Oreal cosmetics.

CVS "ecatnomics": how you can use CVS' percentage off coupons to your advantage

I used to sigh when I got emails from CVS with percentage off coupons of regular-priced items. The only time I bought items at CVS was when they were on sale, so I usually deleted those emails. Even if I printed off the coupon or saved it to my ExtraCare card, I rarely used them.

But one day I had a rare 30 percent off coupon from CVS on non-sale or promotional items. I saved it to my card thinking that I wouldn't use it. But as I was wandering down the pet food aisle, I looked at the 67-cent price of a can of Friskies cat food and realized that 30 percent off of 67 cents was equal to around 20 cents off each can of cat food. Since the Friskies canned cat food usually is on sale for 55 cents a can, I realized I would save more money if I took advantage of the 30 percent off coupon.

Today I got a 20 percent off coupon, and Friskies cat food will be on sale for 55 cents a can next week. I wasn't sure which would be a better deal, so I used the calculator on my computer and found out that it would be slightly cheaper to stock up on cat food with the 20 percent deal (53.6 cents a can) than to wait until next week to get it for 55 cents a can.

In a previous post, I touched on the fact that you can purchase magazines with the percentage off coupons, but I didn't stress what a good deal this is. I've never seen a discount on magazines at other stores above 10 percent. Additionally, you can save even more money with magazine coupons and with SavingStar rebates. If you wait until Sunday to use the percentage off coupons, you even can get a break on your Sunday newspaper.

Another thing I found out recently is that you can combine CVS percentage off coupons with those that give you a certain amount off of a minimum purchase. I plan to use one of my $10 off of a $50 purchase coupons in conjunction with my 20 percent off coupon to score even more savings this weekend at CVS.

Given my example with cat food being cheaper at CVS even with a 20 percent coupon than with next week's sale price of 55 cents a can, I'd suggest that you take a few minutes to think about what items you buy at CVS on a regular basis and see if you could get some better deals with the percentage off coupons.

Great deal on Venus and Gillette disposable razors!

Well, the deal on Venus razors and refills I posted a few days ago isn't what I got out of viewing Sunday Coupon Preview and the CVS online circular. The online circular made it sound like you could buy one of the pictured Venus items and use the $5 coupon in the P&G brandSAVER circular to increase you savings from $5 to $10. Not exactly. The $5 coupon is for the purchase a Venus razor and a refill. On the other hand, you don't have to purchase both to get the $5 extrabucks rewards.

But there is a Buy 1, Get 1 Free coupon in the P&G brandSAVER circular for Gillette male disposable razors and Gillette female disposable razors. I priced a package of Venus disposable razors at my local CVS, and they were $11.49.

So this means:

1. If you buy 2 packages of Venus disposable razors with the coupon, it would be like getting a package for $5.75.
2. Since the disposable razors are included in the Buy $30, Get $10 extrabucks rewards offer in the CVS Weekly Ad, buying two packages of Venus disposable razors would be $22.98 of the $30 purchase requirement, but you actually would be speding $11.49.
3. Venus is one of the brands that is included in the $15 rebate on $50 of selected P&G brands. The terms of the offer say the before coupon price applies, so you would be almost half way to the $50 minimum purchase requirement.
4. If there are both male and female disposable razor users in your household, you could use both coupons, get four packages of razors for the price of two, and get $10 in extrabucks rewards.

These razors will be part of at least one of my shopping trips at the end of the week where I will use manufacturer's coupons, CVS coupons, and extrabucks rewards to get all my items for free. Let you know what I got.

P.S. When I wrote about the 50 cent deal on Cheez-It crackers a few days ago, I didn't realize that the $1.50 coupon available through Kellogg's Family Rewards was good for boxes of crackers 8 oz. and over. The Cheez-It cracakers that are on sale this week come in a 7 oz. box.

Free (and almost free) hand cream at CVS!

I love free stuff, and I love telling people how to get it.

One of my sources on how to obtain free items is Free Stuff Finder. Today's email contained a link to a Facebook offer for a 1.7 ounce tube of Essence of Beauty hand cream. All you need to do is "Like" the MinuteClinic page and complete the offer form. Filling out the form and having it come to my email was the easy part of the process. The hard part is going to be choosing between the Sunblossom, Japanese Garden, or Citrus Coconut scents.

After I got my coupon for free Essence of Beauty hand cream, I took a look at the Facebook MinuteClinic page and saw there will be some sort of giveaway at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow. I'm guessing that's EST.

Back to hand cream.

Since I bought some Carmex Healing Cream as part of a extrabucks rewards deal a couple of weeks ago, I've grown quite find of its scent and the way it softens my hands without leaving a sticky residue. So I'm happy that there's $3 extrabucks rewards deal in the CVS weekly ad on a $4.99 tube of Carmex Healing Cream or Healing Lotion. The deal is even better if you use the $1 coupon that is available on the Carmex Facebook page.

Off to CVS for my $1.99 Planters Nuts and free Essence of Beauty hand cream.

Quick post for Planters lovers!

Today's CVS Deal of the Day is a $1.99 coupon for a can of Planters Nuts. Included are Deluxe Mixed Nuts, Whole Cashews, and NUT-rition. The coupon needs to be printed out today from the CVS website, and the coupons are in limited supply. The coupon is good today and tomorrow only.

Save multiple times on P&G products

The end of the month at CVS always brings the Buy $30, Get $10 back extrabucks rewards deal on Procter and Gamble products. But the upcoming CVS weekly ad has a way to make the deal sweeter on several P&G brands.

In addition to the Buy $30, Get $10 back extrabucks rewards deal, next week's CVS weekly ad has a rebate deal I had seen before but had forgotten about. If you buy $50 worth of select P&G products before Dec. 31, P&G will send you a $15 rebate card. P&G brands eligible for the deal are Cover Girl, Olay, Secret, Ivory, Puffs, Pantene, Herbal Essences, Aussie, Head & Shoulders, Clairol, Safeguard, Venus, and Crest 3D White Strips. The rebate deal actually started on Oct. 14, and if you have any receipts around the hose that have purchases from any of the brands mentioned above, they can be used toget the $15 rebate as long as you can provide a UPC Code for the products that were bought.

There is a separate deal for $5 extrabucks rewards for Venus razors. Additionally, the December P&G circular contains $5 coupon that can be used for the razor or cartridges.

On top of these savings, CVS Beauty Club members get $5 in extrabucks rewards with every $50 spent on eligible purchases. Since cosmetics, hair care, skin care, and nail care products are CVS Beauty Club eligible items, Cover Girl, Pantene, Herbal Essences, Aussie, and Head and Shoulders purchases also count toward the $5 extrabucks rewards after $50 in CVS Beauty Club eligible purchases.

To see a list of the coupons that will be in the December P&G circular, you can check out the list on Sunday Coupon Preview.

P.S. I got a coupon for $2 off of a 9-roll or larger package of Charmin toilet paper from the ExtraCare Coupon Center on Friday. The 12 packs of Charmin Basic, and the 9 packs of Charmin Ultra Strong or Ultra Soft are eligible items for the Buy $30, Get $10 back extrabucks rewards deal.

Nail these deals!

I wasn't sure what to write about today, but it came to me this afternoon via email.

If you ladies aren't members of the CVS Beauty Club, you should be. Members get $5 for every $50 in beauty products purchased plus special deals throughout the year. Today I received a coupon for $3 off of any $10 nail purchase. This coupon can come in handy with several deals in the CVS ad that runs through Wednesday.

The Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off deal on Kiss Artificial nails get sweeter not only with the $3 CVS Beauty Club coupon, but there is a $1 coupon available in the CVS Coupon portion of the CVS website that can be used in conjunction with the Beauty Club Coupon. MyL'Oreal members can grab a $1 coupon of the L'Oreal USA site to use toward the Buy $10, Get $3 in extrabucks rewards offer by completing a Can I Help You? beauty consultation. Sally Hansen Xtreme Nail Wear is only 2/$4. With the $3 CVS Beauty Club coupon, 5 bottles would be only $7. Finally, there is a Buy 2, Get 1 Free Spoiled nail polish deal until Wednesday.

Another opportunity for a better than free deal came my way vial email for Carmex Lip Balm. There is a coupon on the Carmex site for 30 cents off of any Carmex lip balm. Carmex lip balm also happens to be among the many free after extrabucks rewards products on sale until Wednesday, so after you buy the Carmex lip balm you can put both the balm, the extrabucks rewards coupon AND 30 cents in your purse.

I would like to thank everyone who has read these posts. I will be taking a few days off, but I will be back with more CVS deals by the end of the week.

Better than free deals (after extrabucks rewards) Nov. 22-24

I'm a sucker for Milky Way Midnight candy bars, and from Thursday-Saturday, you can get 2 Mars Singles for free after extrabucks rewards! But all of us Milky Way lovers can get an even better deal. On page 2 of the CVS Coupons section of CVS' website, there is a coupon for Buy 2, Get 1 Free Milky Way Bars, which mean you can get three free Milky Way bars at CVS between Thursday and Saturday.

There also is a $2 extrabucks rewards on one 8.9-14 oz. box of Cheerios, Corn Chex, or Rice Chex for $2.88. The CVS Coupons section of CVS' website also has a 50 cent coupon on the purchase of Original Cheerios (a.k.a. the ones in the yellow box). SavingStar members get an extra 50 cents back with any original Cheerios purchase, which would make it a 12 cent gain after the extrabucks rewards, the coupon and the SavingStar rebate.

Don't forget about all of the deals that are going on until Wednesday, especially the free after extrabucks rewards deals. Since my last post on the topic, I found a $1 off coupon for Glade PlugIns scented oil warmers, one of the products that is free after extrabucks rewards, in the CVS Coupons section of CVS' website. I also found out on my last trip to CVS that Diet Dr. Pepper and Dr. Pepper TEN are eligible products for the Buy $10/Get $2 in extrabucks rewards deal that is going on several brands of 12-packs of soda. There are coupons on the Wounded Warrior Project site for $1.00 of a 12-pack of Diet Dr. Pepper and for $1 off a 12-pack of Dr. Pepper TEN.

Be back with some more deals tomorrow.

Helping out others with CVS purchases

While I find saving money at CVS satisfying, I also get great satisfaction out of helping others, and buying certain sales items at CVS this week allows CVS shoppers to be able to do both.

Among the free items after extrabucks rewards this week are 32-oz. bottles of Powerade and 1.25 liter bottles of Coke. After you're done enjoying your free beverages, the codes inside the caps of those items can be used on mycokerewards to spend on contests, merchandise, free Coke products, or towards several causes. Among the organizations to choose from are St. Jude's Children's Hospital, One Warm Coat, Special Olympics, Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and Coca-Cola Arctic Home ( a joint venture between the World Wildlife Federation and Coca-Cola to protect polar bears' habitat). The minimum point donation is 35 points for all of these causes except Coca-Cola Arctic Home, which is 70 points. More good news is that codes from Powerade, Powerade Zero, and Coke Zero have double value until Nov. 24. The end of the free items after extrabucks rewards on 32-oz. bottles of Powerade and 1.25 liter bottles of Coke is Nov. 21.

If you would rather donate to a local cause, you can donate your points to a local school through My Coke Rewards for Schools program. The good thing about donating points through that program is there is no minimum amount of points to donate.

On the flip side, I checked how much money points were worth for these donations. A 35-point My Coke Rewards donation is worth roughly 50 cents. Now if you used 40 points towards a free bottle of Powerade or a 20-oz Coca-Cola product, you could use the coupon to buy a free beverage at CVS, and if you donated what you saved by using the free coupon, you could donate more money to one of these causes.

You can save even more money at CVS this week by using coupons from the Wounded Warrior Project web site. There is a $1 off coupon for Wisk, which is on sale for 4.99. Wisk also is part of a Buy $12, Save $3 deal on SavingStar. The Wisk deal on SavingStar ends Nov. 30.

Well, I'm off to pick up a newspaper and get some of the free after extrabucks rewards deals at CVS. Catch you tomorrow.

Lots of free stuff next week after extracare rewards!

When I opened up the upcoming CVS Weekly Ad on the CVS website on Thursday, it took my breath away to see all of the items you can get free after extrabucks rewards! And I hope you don't turn blue when I give you a couple of links so you can make some money on your purchases.

If you get headaches as often as I do, the 10-count pocket size Advil is one of the free item you absolutely have to snag next week. The Advil website has a coupon that takes $1 off of any Advil purchase except for trial size. There is a sign-up form on the Children's Advil site for coupons. But since I no longer have children at home, I didn't go through with signing up for the coupons because it asked if I had children under 18 at home. Therefore, I'm not sure if you would get a $1 coupon that could be used for the Children's Advil Suspension travel size bottle that also is part of the CVS free after extrabucks rewards promotion.

Need some hooks for hanging items on a wall? 3M Command Hooks also are among the free after extrabucks rewards items on sale. The 3M Command webpage has a page of 50 cent coupons for their products, and there are two coupons for the hooks. However, the instructions on the coupon say that you can redeem one coupon per day. While you can get only one extrabucks rewards deal on the hooks, I could see where someone would use the other coupon and get the second one for 50 cents.

Starbucks Refreshers and Doubleshot beverages also are part of this promotion. Check the refrigerated section of your CVS store for coupon tear-off pads to get money back on your purchase. If your CVS doesn't have coupons, and you're coupon-crazy and brazen like me, try checking near the cash registers at Walmart where refrigerated beverages are kept or at a gas station/convenience store. I got a $1 coupon for Starbucks Doubleshots at Walmart.

Finally, with or without a coupon, almost everyone could use a free box of Kraft Macaroni and Cheese, which is also featured on the promotion.

Happy shopping at CVS this weekend!

The magical ExtraCare Coupon Center

Every time I walk into CVS, I scan my ExtraCare card at the ExtraCare Coupon Center in the hopes of getting a coupon I can use. Many times I get coupons that make me scratch my head.

But this week the man/woman secretly working behind the scenes deciding what coupons I get from the ExtraCare Coupon Center blessed me not only with some coupons that I can use, but they also can be applied to extrabucks rewards deals.

I buy milk there regularly because CVS often gives you $1 in extrabucks rewards on gallon jugs of Dean's milk. This week is one of those weeks. When I stopped in CVS Sunday to get a Sunday paper, I was happy to get a 50 cent coupon I could use toward a gallon of Dean's milk! So instead of paying $2.79 and getting a $1 extrabuck reward, I only have to pay $2.29, and after the $1 extrabuck reward, it will be as if I got the milk for $1.29. Happy, happy camper!

I also had planned to take advantage of the $1 extrabucks rewards deal on 2 Aussie or Herbal Essences Shampoo, Conditioner, or styler for 2/$5.97. When I went to CVS on Tuesday, I got a coupon for $1.50 off of any shampoo or conditioner! That coupon will take my purchase down to 2/$4.47, and with the $1 extrabuck reward, it would go down to 2/$3.47!

If you have been in CVS this week or plan to Friday or Saturday, I hope you have been or will be blessed with coupons you can really use. But from Sunday to Wednesday, all of us CVS shoppers will be blessed with a lot of extrabuck rewards deals where the items end up being free! Talk about that more in my next post.

Even better than free... when you get more money than you spend.

On your next trip to CVS, look for a 2-page paper flyer of manufactuer coupons that can be used only at CVS. One of those coupons is for $1 off of a tube of Colgate MaxFresh toothpaste. It is on sale at CVS for $2.75 this week, and there is a $2 extrabucks rewards deal on the toothpaste as well, which means that if you can find and use the coupon, you will essentially get 25 cents back on your purchase.

The flyer also has a $2 coupon for Huggies Little Movers Jumbo Pack, which can be used toward the $10 extrabucks reward for spending $30 on Huggies, Pampers, or CVS Jumbo Packs. There also is a $2 coupon available on the Huggies website if you sign up. If you join the Huggies Enjoy the Ride rewards program, the codes from Huggies Little Movers will earn you points that can be used on rewards, such as Disney clothing and products, Cabbage Patch Kids, and magazines.

There is also a $1 coupon for Revlon lipstick on the paper flyer that can be used toward a Spend $10, Get $4 extrabucks rewards deal on Revlon cosmetics or beauty tools this week. But you might consider holding onto that coupon if you can get hold of the flyer. When I was on CVS' Facebook page, I clicked on a link from that took me to a post that contained pages fron a preliminary CVS Black Friday ad. One of those pages has a $4 extrabucks rewards deal for spending $6.99 on Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick or Color Burst Lip Butter.

In the next blog, I will let you know about some coupons I got recently from the ExtraCare Coupon Center that will make some of this week's extrabucks rewards deals even better.

What mayonnaise and deodorant have in common

Yes, mayonnaise is white and deodorant usually is. And?

Yes, they're on sale at CVS this week. Hellmann's mayonaise is on sale for 2/$7, and Suave deodorant is on sale for $1. Hellmann's mayonnaise is also part of a Buy $10, get $3 in extrabucks rewards deal along with Skippy peanut butter, Lipton tea bags and Ragu pasta sauce. And?

Yes, there is a 25-cent online coupon available for Hellmann's on RedPlum in the grocery coupons section. There is also a 50 cent coupon for Skippy peanut butter, a $1/2 Ragu products, and a 40 cent coupon for on any one box of Lipton Tea Bags.

Yes, these all are Unilever products, which means they are eligible for the Buy $20, Get $5 Back Unilever deal on SavingStar.

If you click on the "i" icon on the lower left hand corner of the deal information, you will see all of the other Unilever brands that are participating in the deal. There are several other products mentioned in the CVS weekly ad that count toward the SavingStar deal. An example is the Buy $2/9, Get $3 in extrabucks rewards on AXE body wash, shampoo, or conditioner. RedPlum has a $1 coupon off the body wash in the drug store coupons section.

...if you bought enough products for the Buy $10, Get $3 in extrabucks rewards deal, purchased Suave deodorant for $1, and two AXE products for the 2/$9, Get $3 in extrabucks rewards deal, you would meet the requirements for the Buy $20, Get $5 SavingStar deal, get $6 in extrabucks rewards, and save even more money by using RedPlum coupons.

Other sale items on sale this week at CVS that would count toward the SavingStar Unilever deal are Vaseline Lotion for $4.99; Q-Tips at 2/$5; Suave Professionals, Kids, or Stylers at 2/$4; Suave Keartin, almond/shea butter, or men's shampoo/conditioner at 2/$6; AXE body spray or antiperspirant/deodorant at Buy 1, Get 1 50 % off; Simple Facial Care and Buy 1, Get 1 50 % off, Dove or Caress 12-oz. body wash at 2/$6, and Dove, Caress, Lever Bar 6-pk., Dove body wash 18-24 oz., or cream oil wash 13.5 oz. at $7. RedPlum has a $1 coupon off of Caress 12-oz body wash or larger or 6-bar pack or larger and a 40 cent coupon on Q-Tips in the drug store coupons section.

The SavingStar Unilever deal ends on Nov. 22.

Helping out the military at CVS

Haven't gotten your flu shot yet? For every flu shot given this week at CVS, $3 will be given to the USO up to a $100,000 donation. The USO supports our troops through various programs, such as USO Operation Phone Home, Families of the Fallen Support, and USO Warrior and Family Care.

At a future time, I'll write about other ways to help the USO and the Wounded Warrior Project through shopping at CVS.

There were a couple of errors in the blog where I talked about some of this week's deals at CVS. Instead of getting $3 in extrabucks rewards for spending $10 on L'Oreal products, you have to buy $12 of L'Oreal products to get the $3 extrabucks rewards. Since there have been better extrabucks rewards deals on L'Oreal, I might wait to see if a better one comes along soon. In tomorrow's blog, I will let you in on a better cosmetics extrabucks rewards deal and let you know about a coupon you could use with it.

Also, the fine print on the $5 extrabucks rewards on a $25 holiday fragrance purchase says the deal cannot be combined with other fragrance offers. That might include using the $5 off a $25 fragrance purchase coupon from the ExtraCare Coupon Center. However, there wasn't anyting in this week's ad that wouldn't allow you to use that coupon on the other two fragrance deal I mentioned.

My weekend shopping trip

A couple of weeks ago when I was in CVS, I got a save $10 on a $50 purchase coupon on my receipt. I wasn't really particularly thrilled because I rarely purchase $50 worth of items at CVS at one time. It didn't help when the cashier said that this was a really good coupon I could use to buy a more expensive item at CVS. Normally I would get upset, but this same person spent several minutes trying to get me to buy a $20 frying pan a couple weeks prior to this incident, so I wasn't surprised.

Off the cuff, I said to him, "Or I could use this coupon with some of my extrabucks rewards and other coupons and save even more money on my regular purchases." He muttered that some people did that as well with the $10 off of $50 coupon.

But then it became a challenge to have enough extrabucks rewards and coupons and the right sales to make it worthwhile enough for me to do this. So I gathered all of my coupons and headed to CVS.

The subtotal of my purchase was 56.96. After I used all my coupons, the subtotal was $1l.56 and with tax, my total was 14.40. I got $8 in extrabucks rewards back, which made it $6.40. Since I had beauty purchases, I went over the $50 I needed to get my $5 Beauty Club Reward, so I wil be getting another $5 in extrabucks rewards, which will make it $1.40.

As I've said on more than one occasion, if something (or someone) makes you angry, take that energy and do something positive with it. And I believe getting over $55 worth of items for the equivalent of less than $1.50 was a very positive thing to do indeed.

Snap (crackle, pop) up this cereal deal at CVS before Saturday & a way to use those 25 percent off coupons

CVS is my go-to store for cereal because they regularly have extrabuck rewards on cereal or ridiculously good cereal deals.

Their incredible 3/$5.00 deal on Kellogg's Rice Krispies Treats, Rice Krispies, Cocoa Krispies, or Corn Flakes ends on Saturday. That deal is even better with a coupon from the Kellogg's website for $1 off of 2 boxes of either Rice Krispies or Cocoa Krispies. This deal can lead to future savings or rewards by joining Kellogg's Family Rewards. You can enter sweepstakes to go to Jamaica, a family vacation to see the Harlem Globetrotters, a Kinect Sports Ultimate Collection Prize Pack, or $500 worth of Scholastic Book Points for your child's (or grandchild's) classroom for only 25 points per entry. Fans of Krave Cereal and Kellogg's FiberPlus Nutty Delights Bars can get a $1.50 coupon for those products for only 50 points. Other rewards include children's books, sports gear, and kitchen items.

One of the things I will be picking up this weekend with my 25 off my entire purchase coupon this weekend is the latest issue of Time Magazine. I also will be using a $1 coupon I found on Coupon Network. Last week I bought the November issue of InStyle with a 75 cents off coupon as part of a 20 percent off my entire purchase deal, and my InStyle purchase earned me an extra $2 on SavingStar.

After you register an eligible preferred customer card with SavingStar (CVS is one of them), you select the deals you want. When you complete a deal, SavingStar will put that amount into your SavingStar account. As soon as you have $5 in your account, you can cash out in several ways. The money can be put in a checking or savings account, in a PayPal account, go toward an Amazon Gift Card, or be used as a donation to American Forests. I've been a member less than a year, and I've already received over $32 from SavingStar.

Off to CVS to do some shopping! Will tell you about all of my savings in my next blog.

Some of next week's CVS deals (Nov. 11-17, 2012)

I guess I either have some CVSychic powers or that I shop there often enough to know what CVS will do in the future.

I took a peek at next week's ad on the CVS website and saw that there will be a $3 extrabucks rewards when you buy $10 worth of L'Oreal cosmetics. As I blogged yesterday, you can get coupons any time you like for L'Oreal products if you sign up for MyL'Oreal on the L'Oreal website. I also metioned there will be $3 worth of L'Oreal coupons in the RedPlum insert that will be in Sunday newspapers. The $1 coupon for lip products and the $1 coupon for nail products can be used toward the deal. Even better news is CVS customers can do this extrabucks rewards deal twice, so if you buy $20 worth of L'Oreal cosmetics, you'll get $6 back, and if you use both coupons, you have to spend only $18 to get back $6! Although the $1 coupon for skincare items can't be used on this deal, L'Oreal skincare products also will be on sale at CVS next week.

If your are a regular CVS shopper like me and hit the ExtraCare Coupon Center with every visit, you've probably have gotten at least one coupon for $5 off of a $25 fragrance purchase. Those will come in handy if you're considering making a fragrance purchase. If you spend $25 on holiday fragrance sets, you will get  a $5 extrabucks reward. With the $5 coupon from the ExtraCare Coupon Center, you would have to spend only $20. You can also use the coupon toward the Buy 1, Get 1 50 percent off deal on their designer fragrances with a minimum price of $19.99 or if you would buy $25 worth of $9.99 and above Perfect Scents Impressions fragrances on next week's Buy 1, Get 1 Free deal on those scents.

For those in need of braces or threapeutic foot or leg wear, there's a $5 extrabucks deal next week with a $15 purchase of any Futuro product. I stumbled onto some coupons for Futuro products through the Drugstore Divas blog. Lisa had posted an offer for a free sample of Nextcare bandages for the first 25,000 people. By the time I saw the offer, the samples were taken. However, there was a link to other coupons on the Nexcare site. Among the coupons are a $3 one for compression socks or hosiery products and another $3 coupon for braces and supports.

Will be back tomorrow with more deals at CVS next week and how you can use the 25 percent off coupon offers CVS sends to its customers to your advantage.

Wednesday, November 7, 2012

My two promises

1. When I share a CVS deal, I will share a link to a coupon that will make it even sweeter.

CVS shoppers can earn $4 in extrabucks by buying $12 worth of products from Glade, Scrubbing Bubbles, Shout, Fantastik, Oust, and Windex. has several coupons that can be used toward this deal. Take an extra $1.50 off of two 2/$6 Glade Candles when you use the $1.50/2 coupon from the site. Complete the deal by using the $1/2 Scrubbing Bubbles coupon toward two 16-oz bottles of Scrubbing Bubbles also on sale for 2/$6. For more information on the deal, check out the CVS weekly ad.

2. If something happenes with a deal at CVS that I don't think is right, I'll let you know.

CVS recently ran an extrabucks promotion for $3 extrabucks rewards for buying $10 worth of L'Oreal cosmetics. The price tag next to the L'Oreal Colour Riche lip color said $9.99. In the past, sales associates would waive the extra penny and let me have the deal. When the $3 exrabucks reward didn't appear at the bottom of my receipt, I took a closer look at the receipt and saw that the lipstick rang up at $8.99. I usually don't mind getting items cheaper than I had thought I would, but it meant that I had to buy another item to get the $3 extrabucks! Should had bought two bottles of nail polish like I had planned. From now on, I will be taking all of my cosmetic items to the the CVS ExtraCare Coupon Center to do a price check on them.

I'll show them by telling how to get some L'Oreal coupons. If you sign up for MyL'Oreal on the L'Oreal website, you can get coupons any time you like for L'Oreal products. I also found out through Sunday Coupon Preview that there will be $3 worth of L'Oreal coupons in the RedPlum insert that will be in Sunday newspapers. They include a $1 coupon for lip products, a $1 coupon for nail products, and a $1 for skincare items.

In my next post, I will match next week's extrabuck deals with online coupons and coupons that will be in Sunday newspapers.

Let me introduce myself!

My name is Debbie, and as you may have gathered for the blog title, I like to shop @ CVS.

That's not exactly true. I love to shop at CVS and go there multiple times a week.

Because I spend a lot of time at the store and have gradually increased my savings when I shop there, I thought that others would benefit from the tricks I've learned during the past three years of being a regular CVS customer. Also, if I find any online coupons that can be used to extrabucks deals, I will post links to them.

To get you started saving even more money at CVS, here is a link to a $1 coupon for Carmex Everyday Hydrating Lotion or Everyday Healing Cream, which are on sale for $4.99. This can be used toward getting the $3 extrabucks reward when you spend $6 on Carmex products this week at CVS. A tube of lip balm for $1.67 will complete the deal. This extrabucks deal can be found on page 8 of the CVS Weekly Ad.

At my CVS, I was able to get a bonus that wasn't mentioned in the weekly ad. I got a tube of lip balm that came with a sample of hand cream. I double checked my receipt to see if counted toward the $3 extrabucks deal, and it did.

Happy saving @ CVS!
